Mom is barking!!!
Sorry I haven't been around much. The mom has been acting very strangely this week. She is constantly pulling tissues out the box (if I did that I would be in trouble) and making these strange hooting sounds. When she is not doing that she is making these awful barking noises......I get so worried sometimes because I can see it is hurting her. So anyway, I have just been laying quietly on the bed with the mom....she is snoozing as much as me at the moment!!!!! She tells me not to worry and that it is a cold like dad had last week.....but last week mom was there to look after dad and dad is away so there is no one to look after mom but me and I can't reach the big cupboard to make her some tea. I tried bringing her one of my chew bones.....but she didn't seem very interested and I bought ALL my toys into her room and left them strategically where she would step on them (so she would know where they are) but she didn't seem interested in those either...in fact she even grumbled about it a little. It's tough being the dog of the house when the mom is sick.

Reilly here's a piece of advice and we know you'll find this tough but - don't just snooze on the bed with your Mom, go the extra mile and offer cuddles and hugs. Not an easy thing for the dog of the house to do after he's recently had B.A.T.H. but it may work.... good luck!!! And we hope your Mom will be feeling better soon,

Reilly - we sure hope your mom feels better real soon! Maybe if you cuddle with her......come on, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteHi Reilly!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice of you to try and take care of your mom! My Owner Girl had this problem a while ago! I thought she was turning into a dog! But she got better after lots of snuggles from me! I hope it works for your mom!

Oh no! I hope your Mum will get better soon. Though sleeping lots is fun huh, my Mum likes it too!
ReplyDeleteThe first year Essex was with Dad he got sick. She stayed loyally by the side of the bed. It was like she was taking care of Dad.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon,
Essex & Deacon
Gee Reilly, hope your mum feels better soon. Cuddle up and show her how nice you smell after your bath. She will like that.

Hey Reilly. I think your Mom just needs YOU, not so much your toys, though it's nice of you to share with her. Hope she's feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteaw you poor mum. That no good when they is poorly and need looking after. They just doesn't appreciate the things we do. I find sticking my nose in mum's neck make her feel better, well it must to cos she moves about and then gets up. BOL! Hope she feel better soon.
