Weilly - he just sleeps through it but it always makes me jump up and wonder what is happening. Nothing touches them, they don't move, no breeze or anything to trigger them - but they just start babbling. Do you think they are upset that I haven't played with them for awhile or is there something else happening??? Oh oh - I think I am going to stay close to Weilly - not that I am scared or anything - gulp!

Cheese and Tomato Dog Biscuits
1/3 cup margarine
1/2 cup of water
1 small jar of beef or chicken baby food
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 medium tomatoes – remove seeds and access liquid – chop up finely
1 egg, beaten
1 cup rolled oats
4 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, margarine, and water. Let stand 10 minutes. Grease cookie sheets.
Thoroughly stir in baby food, milk, Cheddar cheese, tomato and egg. Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time, until stiff dough has formed.
Knead dough on a lightly floured surface, mixing in additional flour as necessary until dough is smooth and no longer sticky. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut with cookie cutter (we prefer bone shaped), and place 1 inch apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.
We also like to sprinkle a little of the cheese on the top of the biscuit.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Cool before serving. Store in a loosely covered container.
Like many places we are still sweltering - it has been over a month now that we have had 90+ degrees every day and we can't wait until winter arrives!
Today we off to make tomato chutney with the Mom as our tomatoes just went crazy this year and we have so many Mom has had to be creative finding ways to use them. Last week she made spicy homemade arrabiata pasta sauce with red wine for dad - now he has plenty to last him in the freezer. Mom has even found us a tomato and cheese dog biscuit recipe for us and is going to make us some cookies!!!! We would be happy to share our recipes if anyone wants them.

Then Mom gave me a special breakfast with some chunks of SPAM in it! I must admit I thought SPAM was a bit weird as I am ALWAYS deleting it off my blog... but this SPAM was pawsome! Mom said it was a birthday day treat only though and I won't be getting it again until next birthday - which I am pretty sure is tomorrow isn't it Mom?
Next we headed off to the pet store. Mom told them straight away I was a birthday boy and I got not one - but a whole handful of treats. Score for the Reilly!!!! Next stop was the freezer to get me some raw bison bones - yum my favorite! I love that our local pet store carries all the raw food treats and food.
Then we checked out the toy section - but you know - I am not into toys anymore - they are cool to look at but I didn't see anything to take my fancy. I have only ever had one favorite toy which was my Blue Moose and sadly the Stuffanator (Denny) finally did him in a few months ago. The only other thing I will play with - is my tug rope.
Now the bone section - THAT was more my style and I picked up some bully sticks, some hoof things (for the dweebs - yeah I am generous on MY birthday) and some other tasty munchies. We also hit the cookie aisle and treat aisle and got some goodies there too.
Then we went to my other favorite pet store and look what Mom got me - my very own Birthday Cake from the Barkery! This is a special doggie birthday cake - thank dogness cause otherwise Dad would be into it!
And here I am back home with my birthday stash. We got some new grain free food for me to try, some shampoo for my itchies (thanks Mom - but NO bath today okay!) and lots of treats which can you believe it - Mom says I can't have all of them today that I have to spread them out. MOM ! Birthdays are for piggin out on! Oh well at least my birthday goodies will last a couple of weeks!

It all started when my Mom got a new boyfriend and ever since HE came on the scene I have been completely neglected by her. She never takes me anywhere, never takes me walkies or the pet store anymore and never cares for me. SHE just wants ME to cuddle HER when she is here and the rest of the time forgets about me and look at me - I am so darn cute how could anyone neglect me?.
Other Mommy (Reilly and Denny's Mom) - she gives me baths, clips my toenails, soothes me when I have the weezes, cuddles me, takes me for walkies, feeds me, buys my food and favorite treats....do you think that makes her MY REAL MOM - can you adopt me too please 'other Mommy?
Reilly says he is sorry he hasn't been visiting much lately - he has been busy taking care of his Mom and she has been busy taking care of him and both of them are taking care of Denny and all of them are taking care of ME!

Reality is.......I do not want to be anywhere near to those two and this is the normal picture Mom gets - with me sitting to one side - aloof and dignified - and those two are all buddy buddy, chummy chummy.
It takes A LOT of tasty bribery for me to sit any where near those two cootie infested dweebs so you can imagine how AWFUL it has been being cooped up with them for the past three weeks while the temps have been above 100. All that playing and running around in the house, toys EVERYWHERE and sucking up to MY Mom and Dad for attention - erk! Really - you have no idea what I have had to suffer through. Trust me - the "Life of Reilly" isn't what it's cracked up to be!
