More bad news

Mom went to the doctors yesterday and they found she is suffering from malnutrition so on Friday she has to go back into hospital to have surgery to insert a feed tube direct in her stomach. The IV feeding she has been getting just hasn't been enough and she has been slowly getting worse with each passing day and not feeling well. As for me, well I am doing what a dog does best during bleak winter days - I am rolling around on my back trying to keep myself amused and developing the fine art of of stuffy damaging. So far I have removed an ear and two antlers from my toys.

  1. Oh Reilly. Another trip to the hospital for Mom! But this should be a smaller surgery and she might even be home the same day? Or not too many days I hope! Meanwhile, you need to get those stuffy toys in perfect shape. Maybe bite off a leg or something??

  2. Reilly - of course we are shocked and sorry to hear your mom had to go back to the hospital but this should be it now - she will get better much faster if she is getting the right nutrition to heal! We know she will be right back home and finally start to recover! Keep working on your stuffy toys so she can see what an excellent "damager" you have become!

  3. Hi Reilly, thank dogness you are keeping yourself amused by ripping up stuffies!
We were worried about your poor mom getting enought to eat!
This is not good as she really needs to get her strength back. Hard to do if you are not eating. We hope the tube into the stomach does the trick - tell her not get downhearted.
You could maybe offer to share some of your treats with her......
    Take care over there.
    love and kisses

  6. Oh, Reilly, I wish I could invite you to stay here for a few days. We'd keep you busy. But I'm sure your momma needs you at home now. I think it's a good thing they figured this out. Afterwards, your mommy will feel a bit stronger and that's a good thing.
    Hang in there family!
