No good news

Mom had more tests yesterday and they were not very clear as to whether the leak had healed yet. The doctors decided to let mom have some tiny sips of liquid (Mom hasnt had anything to eat or drink for two weeks now) Dad says she has these tube things in her arm and they give her food through that. Can you imagine not having any food to eat? I told dad he could take mom some of my charcoal cookies. Anyway the doctors are saying mom will have to stay in the hospital until next week now. I want my mom to come home now - she has been gone for two weeks now -- what if she forgets me? Dad says mom asks about me all the time and told him he HAS to take me to Petco tomorrow because she is worried about me not getting any outside exercise and smells. They had better send my mom home next week or I am going to sneak into the car when dad goes to see her and I am going to bite some butts!

  1. Oh my Reilly! I wish I was closer, I'd take you on your walks as a stand in for your Mom! I'm sure you're very very confused and worried. I'm sure your Dad is a bit distracted as well. But remember that they both love you very very much and hopefully soon everyone will be home again with you! I wish there was something we could do to help!

  2. I'm really worried about your Mom! I'm really hoping that your Mom will get well soon so she can get home to you and your Dad. Its understandably that your miss your Mom a lot.

To Reilly's Mom: I hope you'll soon feel better! Wishes you a speedy recovery!

  3. We are so sad to hear this news, Reilly. We continue to send lots of AireZen and lots of positive thoughts and prayers for your mom. We want her home with you too!

    Love ya lots,
    Maggie and Mitch

  4. Reilly, we continue to look in hoping for good news about your mom.
We know you must be missing her loads and wondering what on earth is going on.
We recommend that your Dad takes you for a good walk to let you sniff everything.
When Martha came here she was upset and anxious and the one thing that always helped her was to go out walking.
We could see her calm right down - although you are not in a new home it is similar cos you don't understand why things are different.
We dogs really don't like changes at all!
We are sending all of our love to your Mom so you tell her when you speak on the phone.
We cannot wait for the post that tells us she is back home and on the mend.
As for not eating, we cannot imagine how awful that must be - especially at this time of year!
    love and kisses
    Martha, Bailey & Mum xxxxxxxx

  5. Gosh Reilly, not a good way to start the New Year, is it? I am so sorry your mom is still in the hospital. Keep being a really brave boy and she will come home soon and then you can smother her with love and cuddles - yes, Reilly, cuddles!! I know you can do it!

  6. We sure hope your Mum gets better soon. It must be a real strain on you and your Dad.

We are sending healling collie vibes and prayers to one of bestest cyber pals Dog Mum.

    Dog Speed,

Essex, Deacon & Dog Dad too

  7. Maybe her doctor could write a Rx for you., even though you are not a certified therapy dog? We get calls all the time that a doctor has recommended a therapy dog to come visit.

  8. We'll be praying for your mom, Reilly. We know how stressful it can be to have someone you care about in the hospital.

  9. I think about your Mom all the time Reilly. Sure hope she is getting better in that bad ole hospital! You hang in there little guy, and give your Dad lots of extra kisses too cause he's probably really worried and needs your help to stay calm!

Thank you for woofing at us - we read each and every one of them
