Looks like we be doing a whole heap of nothing for the next few days. Our back door is still frozen solid with inches of ices behind it. Luckily the doggie door is just above it so we have just enough space for us to get out. Mom is a bit worried because both our side gates have feet of ice in front of them which means there is no way for her to get into the back yard and she thinks we may hurt ourselves if we slip. She figured out she could reach us through one of the windows though - which would be a sight seeing Mom climb out the window. We told her we have feet like mountain goats but she still watches us every time we go out - really mom - boys need a bit of privacy you know!
So today we are stuck inside and practicing tricks - which isn't so bad as it means treats. We do think this "leave it" trick is a bit mean though. Making us lay there with a treat on our foots for 87 gazillion minutes when the smell of it is wafting right under our noses.
You are such good boys! Blueberry is far far away from learning that trick!
ReplyDeleteUm...if your mom does end up having to climb out the window, we're gonna need to see video and/or pictures of that! ;)
Wow you guys do well on that leave it trick, mom tells us to wAit....we do sometimes....hope your ice goes away real soon!

This has been the WORSTEST Winter EVER... We are so Sorry that you are sort of Trapped... butt can at LEAST get out to Potty.
ReplyDeleteOUR safe Pen gates could not be opened fur 4 weeks... BUT we are SURE your snow will melt away faster than THAT...
hehhehehee we have a mental picture of your mom trying to go out the window...
Really, Mom climbing out the window, they will be OK, let them be puppers in the frozen tundra for awhile.

Pees: we are gonna get to 39 today, we are outside getting all wet and muddy, hot diggity.
Our white stuff is packed snow, not ice, so its not slippery like yours. In fact, we have pretty good traction.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you guys are stuck inside. But its better to be safe, then to slip and pull or break something.
That is an impressive trick! If I did that, Oreo would steal the treat off Chewy's foot. YOu two are GOOD!
What sad faces is see.
ReplyDeleteBut what a funny picture your mom would make climbing out the window.
Bentley
Sounds like a good time to refine your treat list.
ReplyDeleteDip and Elliot x
Oh guys we feel for you and we so want this snow to stop now. We blow warm air your way. Wow you both are so good with the leave it. I do it with lots of drool thrown in. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Pawsome treat trick. There is no way we could do your trick at our house. Benji would eat the treats while they are still in Mommy's hand -- there is no way she could even put a treat on our paws without Benji eating them.
ReplyDeleteAnd we are sorry to hear you have an ice skating rink in your back yard.
Treats GOOD, Tricks NOT SO GOOD. Tell your mum she can always ring 911 if one of you boys gets in trouble...bwahaahaa!
ReplyDeleteReilly, you look like you're plotting to get Denny's treat when you get the chance.
XXXOOO Bella & Roxy
HOLY COWS!! That's not good! Well, if your Moms DOES have to climb outs the window, gets the flashy box and take some pics!!! We won't tell!
ReplyDeleteBe careful guys, and Ma makes me do that Leave-It trick all the times, and I don't find it funny either!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Hi, What good pups you are and such good tricks. Hunter worked on leave it when we were in training but hasn't since-bol. I sure hope you don't slip when you got out; I'd hate for your mom to have to rescue you.
ReplyDeleteCome on spring!
Wags,
Noreen & Hunter
yep! that's how winter has been for us, a whole bunch of nothing!
ReplyDeleteMoms always look our for us
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
You boys are so good! We will NEVER be able to do that trick - not in a million billion years!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Spring is around the corner (and maybe a little down the road, still, but we don't mention that part around here!) so soon that ice with melt away!
ReplyDeleteGood job on your leave its! Momma makes me do that trick, too...it's so mean!
Mom makes me and Max do dat trick too...da nerve! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Mardi GraS!
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max
We are picturing your mom going through your doggie door! hahahahahaa! Stay safe and warm.
ReplyDeleteThat happened to us last year. The snow had drifted so high against the back door that Mom couldn't open it (we don't have a doggie door), and the gate had two feet of drifted snow on either side of it, so no way to get to our yard. Mom had to take us out the front door and walk us until our snow service showed up and the young man hopped the fence to get the door clear of snow.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some melting soon.

Oh, the dread "leave it!" Mom enforces that one a lot, since when we visit the nursing home, a lot of times people want to feed me things. One lady stuck the spoon with ice cream on it right in my mouth and I STILL had to leave it! It was torture!
ReplyDeleteBunny
We hope things warm up soon...although a day with lots of treats sounds pretty good to us!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Arty, Jakey & Bilbo
I do not like that 'leave it' trick. In fact I think it is boring.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
PS Hope the thaw comes soon.
Sorry to hear that you've a very nasty winter time but oh boy, two of you are really impressive. You're so patient! So glad that you got the treats and I hope there were many many treats involved in that 'leave it' game.
ReplyDeleteI wonder you guys drool while playing this game?
Sorry to hear you are still shut in. Glad you don't have to do it for a whole winter like me! I refuse to learn leave it and the treat would not stand a chance with me. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteI think you need to have a show on Animal Planet! You two are pawsome with the tricks. I'm a little worried you are giving my peep some ideas, though.
