So there I was enjoying a little morning sun
when Mom comes outside and tells me Dad bought us a new tree. I am thinking "great - we need some more shade in MY yard". Then she comes back with the tree - "WTD - you have got to kidding right Mom - no way is that going to give us any shade!" Then she tells me it is 4 years old - (that is older then the Dweeb!!!) She said it is a Chinese Elm and that is won't grow any bigger than it is because it's a Bonsai. Bonsai Smonsai I am thinking - I just gave her "the look' and said "Mom - you need to feed this thing mega doses of fertilizer or something because it isn't even going to shade my nose"
My Mom used to have a small pine tree just like this ...she had it for 3 years.....then it was gone.
ReplyDeleteNone of us ever wet on it either...
stella rose
So a toy tree?
ReplyDeletePEEPS.... aren't they just the STRANGEST Creatures???
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't even shade your PAW with that Shrimpy Shrub.
Ernie says to tell you... PEE on it.
I'm thinkin you had better NOT...
BUTT it would look HUGE and Fabulous in your Dogville Train display.
You got a Bonsai Smonsai, why there is all sorts of superstition that connects with those. And why is blogger telling me I spelled superstition wrong? Bad Blogger. As I was saying I read some of the stories at the Krohn Conservatory where they have a room full of them. Take very good care of the stunted tree.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI tried to keep a bonsai living once....didn't go so well. I was so disappointed. I love them!
What a cool bonsai tree
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
Reilly you have to put up with a lot from your mom, but she does give out treats.
ReplyDeleteBentley
We love those little bonsai trees.
ReplyDeleteDip and Elliot x
It is gorgeous. SHE gave up on getting a Bonsai when SHE found out you've got to take them out and trim the roots every year. We need things that grow with neglect. Hence all the oleanders in our garden.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Bella & Roxy
LOL Reilly that ain't going to be much good for pee-mail. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
It's very cute. I had a bonsai once too. My experience was like Sara's, quite disappointing. No green thumb here.
ReplyDeleteOur mom has always loved the Bonsai's! You're right, Reilly, it won't shade a darn thing!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
BOL BOL!!! You sure DID give her the "look!" BOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I DO love that tree!
Mom had one of those for a while, but watering it properly turned out to be a bit of a challenge for her. I think next time, you'd better supervise the choosing of the tree so you can get some decent sun protection!
ReplyDeleteBunny
Just be careful about 'watering' it, Reilly. :)
ReplyDeletePhod says if you can lift your leg on it, it is a tree!
ReplyDeleteWells.....you can pee on it and see if it needs more water!!!! hehehe
ReplyDeleteOkays, maybe your Moms wouldn't like that...tell hers you want a tree of your own, and maybe you won't use this one as a chew toy!!
What??? No. No, I'm not tryin' to gets Reilly in troubles...shhhhh, deny everything Reilly....
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Mommy is usually terrified of trees ever since that tree branch fell over a year ago... Butt your new tree looks safe to mommy.
ReplyDeleteThat is a shade tree for your mini-me!
ReplyDelete(it's pretty cool!)
Wyatt
It is a cool looking tree but don't expect shade! BOL! Our mama has tried to grow those but they always die...
ReplyDeleteBawahwhahhwhahwa that has to be the smallest tree ever, you won't get shade or Squirrels in that tree BOL xxx00xxxx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
