Wacky Weather

We had a tornado touch down just 1/4 mile from us yesterday. All of sudden it started hailing - the hail stones were golf ball size the sky just turned black and the noise was horrendous. It was so scary for the Mom - me I just sat there watching Mom wondering why she was getting all nervous!! They are saying it followed the highway and also passed within 1/4 mile of where my Dad works - luckily they had some warning and were already in their safe places. The sirens here went off after it passed but the wind was making so much noise I didn't even get to howl at it !!!!! You can read about it here at our local news site. Mom and I are also very sad to see that the storms yesterday have killed over 200 people now - that is 200+ families grieving today, 200+ families without a loved one and facing a lonelier future. I am sure it is also a number of pets without a Mom or Dad too. So please put your paws together and say a little prayer for all the sad people and pets today.

  1. We are glad to know that tornado missed you. The storms have been so bad this year and we haven't even reached peak season of May. Mom is worried about what will happen here this year, we have been pretty lucky in the past. Paws crossed for you and all of our furiends to remain safe from the fury of this terrible weather.

I'm so sorry I didn't comment when we got your FABULOUS gift bag!! Thanks so so much! It was awesome! In fact I've only let the dogs have the snozzles cause I want to take some cute pictures of how great it is to do a post. Sorry I forgot to leave a comment when we got it. Thanks again!

  6. This morning, I woke up to terrible winds here in Southern Ontario. The worst I've ever experienced. I was very scared as I'm not used to that kind of thing here. I even saw that a tree had fallen when I was out on Sawyer's walk, and heard that a young girl had been pinned down by a fallen tree not too far from here. Then I turned on the news and heard about all of the lives lost over the last day in the States due to this terrible weather and I felt so sad. I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe.

  15. So glad you all are okay! I have never been through a tornado, but my human mommy has and she said it was horrible. I don't really like loud noises, so I probably would be scared. So happy that the nasty weather is gone and you are safe!

  17. So glad you are ok. The storms had calmed down a lot by the time they reached, though we did have a brief tornado warning. We are thinking of all of those people who were not as fortunate.
