Did you know we have our own cricket pitch - that is what Mom says it reminds her of. You see we have a HUGE back yard but there is on outside fence that runs along the boundaries of MY yard and then there is another fence that makes a smaller back yard. Weird - we know - but that is how it was when we came here. Mom says one day when they have lots of those greenie money things - they will just get rid of the inside fence and then I will have MY whole yard to run in.
Now for some reason we think it is a special treat when we get to run along our outside backyard and the Dweeb loves to play 'fetch' on the cricket pitch. We only recently discovered he loves playing fetch with a tennis ball - who knew!!! Mom is trying to build up her strength so we have been doing "the laps" as she calls it. We get to run all the way around our outside fence a couple of times a day.
How odd! Have you ever thought of leaving it and maybe making it a "secret garden"? I could see a trail, with benches and lots of flowers and plants... Can you tell I live in a place where I can't grow much?

THAT is interesting that THE DWEEB has been Keeping his love fur Ball chasing a SECRET all this time.
ReplyDeleteYou have a super Cricket place fur SURE... Glad that your mom is getting out there with you to help her build up her strengths and stuffs.
PeeS.... Ernie's Birfday was back in September... We are celebrating his GOTCHA Day... which is the day we GOTTED HIM. When he was just 8 weeks old.
It's still so green there!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope your mom is feeling better soon! Our mom has returned to the gym, and is busy getting "healthy." Which means she gets home later from work, which we don't like. But it also means lots of hikes - which we do like! BOL
OMD that is so cool.....instead of a bowling green....you have a tennis ball green. I want one. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I am curious, do you brush your babies everyday? Is that how they stay so neat looking? My Freddy cannot ever stay looking neat for more than half a day. He ends up looking like a ruffian pretty quick!
ReplyDeleteThat's a LOT of running room! I bet it just seems extra special when they are allowed in there which makes it that much more fun. Blueberry is the same way when I let her into the garden (which is much smaller). She'll often zip around the garden and back out she's so excited she got to go into the "forbidden" zone.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a special treat when we get to go somewhere different. We love your cricket pitch....perfect place to bowl tennis balls!

Speedy recovery to your mum. Keep exercising her, boys.
Oh, Denny lives playing ball. ... that makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why there are two fences? My dogs get excited when I let them play in the front yard .
Howdy Mates, glad you are outside taking in some fresh air and hope your mum is feeling a little better. Ahhh, cricket. That time is upon us here in Oz. Local cricket is just starting and soon dad will be in his chair, eyes glued to the TV. Enjoy your ball games. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteThat is a peculiar yard guys..have to wonder why they built two fences...I'm glad that your mom is feeling stronger and is able to be out walking with you a bit...You two take good care of her and get her healthy and strong again
ReplyDeleteWe don't know about cricket, it looks like a great place to play fetch or lawn bowl! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeletePretty odd, but it makes for fun exploring! Glad Denny finally told you he likes to fetch the ball!
ReplyDeleteCan I come over and we can play tennis ball together, Denny? Pretty please?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great strip for any activity!
Love ya lots♥

OK...that is weird to have two fences. Who needs green papers to knock down a fence?!? Go get them sledgehammers and let them smash away! BOL It's good release of stress.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend, friends. I'll see you next week!
*high paws*
