What to do with our shells

Sweet William asked us yesterday what Mom was going to do with the shells we find. Well some of them we are sending the Sheldon and Beachnut (the crabbie girls) so they can decorate their crabitat. Mom has been looking at all the things she can make with shells on pinterest and has found some wonderful ideas including these zentangle pattern shells. So here is our before and after - Mom followed the natural patterns on the shells to create the designs - what do you think? Just click on the pictures to see them bigger.

  7. Very pretty! She should buy one of those lamps that have a glass base. You can put whatever you want inside, including seashells and sea glass!

  8. You made the brown look like a woven delicate shell. The blue one looks like lace to us. They both look so different. The Crabbie Girls are going to love the Bree Designs.
    Thanks for being a friend

  9. We went to a showing at the Cincinnati Art Museum that was a collection of painted buttons. They had painted famous works of art on buttons and fancy designs like you would see on German Easter Eggs. You could do that with shells.

  12. Our friends strung shells up and hung them up as wind chimes....but they put them too close to the poles and they're more like gongs.
