With all Mom's sickies over the past few years it has been A LONG time since she did any painting and I decided it was time she started again so the other day I took her to the craft store and we bought some supplies.
It has been a struggle - with Mom's back it has been hard for her to find a position to either sit or stand in that doesn't cause major ouchies but with lots of encouragement from ME - we are slowly getting there. Here I am checking on the progress - yes looking good so far Mom
Well don't just sit there Mom - this picture is only half way done - there is still lots to do and I am sure every furbody and their peeps want to see what it looks like when it is finished.
I think Mom needs a bit more encouragement guys - will you help me? This painting is all about how the Kookaburra got its laugh - we will tell you the story when the painting is finished - but we have to get Mom motivated to do that.
Really - I just don't know what the Mom would do without me!
OK mom get on it. You know me and my MOM want to see the finished piece. It looks great so far and it would be a shame if it wwas not completed. But remember if you need to take a break then do it and rest and then get back at it.
ReplyDeleteAlso me and and MOM want to thank you from the bottem of our heart for all those beautiful cards you sent us. Oh my goodness are they beautiful!!! I like the ones with me on them best. I hope you know that they will cheer up so many people. You will have helped bring a little beautiful into the lives of those who need it and you are helping to bring smiles to so many. We can't thank you enough. Oh and I LOVE those cheesey chips..yummmmm yummmmm
Blessings,
Goose
The painting is just awesome!

Oh Reilly, tell your mom that My Vickie and I love the painting and want to see her finish it and then we want to hear the whole story.
ReplyDeleteSo we hope she can find a comfortable position to sit or stand in so she can work some more on it.
Bert
The peeps really need us! That is one pretty painting and you are doing a great job snoopervising!
ReplyDeleteOK Mom, get to it before Reilly does have a cow!!

Your mom is lucky to have you as her inspiration! And sometimes humans just need to be pushed, good thing you took her to the craft store! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool painting!! Can you come here and motivate my mom, Reilly?
ReplyDeleteReilly, you got the right idea. If it hurts your mom too much to sit or stand -- she should try laying on the floor (like you in the picture) and paint that way! That should work! Now, get to it mom. No more excuses! (Just kidding -- take your time mom, it will be worth the wait to see what the finished painting looks like!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool painting! I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteReilly, you are doing a great job keeping your mom on task.
Love it. SHE loves Aboriginal Art.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Yes, we want your Momma to finish it! It's looking pretty amazing so far and we all want to hear the story of how the kookaburra got it's laugh! Just tell your Momma not to over do it though. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, we want to hear the kookaburra story too.
ReplyDeleteVery nice painting Reilly! I'm sure your Mom doesn't know what she'd do without you either! We want to see it when it's done!
ReplyDeleteHi, we need a good story and a good painting so that we can enjoy something besides worrying about what my peeps are worried about -life stuff and when dad's going to feed us.
ReplyDeleteOh we love the painting. My peep works with Aboriginal people and teaches Aboriginal kids. She's really excited, she's doing a cultural emersion program this month.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is just so cool looking.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is awesome and we can't wait to see the finished piece. However, please let your mom take some rest when it is needed.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours and the painting looks lively and cheerful.
You are doing a great job, Reilly!
Awww, I LOVE your mommy's painting -- it's wonderful!! I should know how good it is, 'cause I'm around that kind of creative stuff lots. ;)

~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
That painting is incredible, Mom, so hurry up and finish it already so we can admire it even more than we already have! You have made it this far even with a bad back so we are sure you can finish it! Your pup is a great motivator and we hope we helped you find your inner Picasso.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, we noticed on Gospel of Goose that you sent him a pile of handmade cards with his picture on it! Wow! What talent and what thoughtfulness! Great job!
