We went for a safari yesterday to MY favorite little park. (mom says she was channeling Africa yesterday) First - up on the boardwalk through the tree tops we went, it felt a lot higher than normal as the lake that is usually underneath it has all dried up. Then through the woods - where I did some major squirrel chasing and finally down the hill to the open grassland or savannah. We even let Mom off her lead when we got to the woods so we got to run and chase without having to drag her behind us. We did have to keep checking she was there as she get lost easily without us leading the way. Finally we ended our safari at the butterfly garden and let me tell you - we were pretty tired. We stopped by one of Moms favorite bushes - we don't know what type it is, but is has these amazing flowers on it that look and feel like tiny little velvet tuffs. Today it is only going to be 78 degrees and we are heading off to one of MY far away parks for a picnic - report will be available tomorrow :)
Your park has such variety! Very cool! And hurray for more reasonable temps!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to let the mom's off the lead. Beautiful walk. Looking forward to see what you discover at the far away park.

Such a beautiful day! Running free is fantastic, but you DO have to watch your peeps. They get lost so easily.
