Sunday Snippets

Pudding cups SLURP!
Phew - there is lots of little things happening today - where to begin! Okay we always start our Sunday with a special slurpy treat - rice pudding - pudding cups made with soy milk and no sugar - just a little honey. YUM! Mom part froze these so they are nice and cool

I helped Mom pick veggies from MY veggie garden - we made the most delish Eggplant Lasagna. We have eggplants, tomatoes, onions, carrots, beans, and apple cucumbers (they are the same as ordinary cucumbers -just round and birpless!)

Mom tried tricking me and bought me a new blue moose - I took one sniff and KNEW it wasn't MY old blue moose - so NO - I am NOT playing with it.

Our Gardenias are flowering for the second time and we have both the single flowers and double flowers. The doubles have many more petals and a slightly different scent.

And we have some flowers that popped up from a packet of hummingbird attractor seeds we planted. We have actually seen the little tiny green hummindbirds buzzing around them!  Mom is never quick enough to get a photo of them though  even after she hung up a hummingbird feeder too.

Lastly a couple of paintings - Mom painted one of Miss Sugar for her birthday and yesterday she finished her first 'double' pup painting of Lassiter and Benjamin.

Mom finally gave in and got a smart phone yesterday - let's see if she is smart enough to work it out cause we want to go geocaching.

Veggies from MY garden

Single Gardenia

Don't know what these are - they sure are pretty

We are sad to say it looks like DWB is now a memory. We will miss it, but are glad that it introduced us to many friends like you.

  10. Our mom is flipping out over the gardenias, Reilly! She's not sure if she has single or double and she NEEDS to know how they differ in scent. Now who's the nutcase, right, Molly?!

  11. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the painting of Sugar! So nice you have a garden. Mom & dad had a little one at their old house, and dad tried to make one here but neither mom nor dad had the time to tend it, so it just got overgrown.

Mom put off getting a smart phone for the longest time but broke down & got one when her flip phone finally died. If my mom can figure out a smart phone, anyone can!

  19. Eggplant lasagne? My mom is drooling now. I agree with you, a new blue moose is NOT the old one you loved.
