Our blog buddy Bacon asked us if they would allow a little pot belly pig like him.... to go walking in the park. Well at MY little park there is the State Park Office so after our walk Mom went in and asked what constitutes a 'pet' as all the signs say 'pets' must be leashed. Needless to say the staff thought Mom was crazy until she explained she was inquiring whether a pot belly pig on a leash would be considered a 'pet' - well guess what - they said YES! Now every State has different rules but hey Bacon - they will probably allow you in your parks too - especially if the signs say "pets".

That was nice of you to enquire on behalf of your Buddy! There was a Shetland pony at our leash free park one day so a pot belly pig would be more than welcome. The Shetland pony was quite friendly with all of us dog folk.

OMP (oh my pig!) I'm beyond excited. Thank you my friends for inquiring about this. I can walk on a leash... or rather I walk mom on a lease. It's not one of my favorite things but if the atmosphere is as beautiful as it is in your lovely parks - I'm so in!! Oink snorts! XOXO - Bacon

WE have Been IN Cussin Sarge's Mom's Office... She gets LOTS of Peeps in there so you will be STARS fur SURE.

ReplyDeleteWe are so glad your friend can walk with you...my human sister Kody used to have a pot bellied pig when she was young, he loved her a lot...she took him to the fair for a 4-H project and a goldfish beat him out of the trophy. We thinks it was a setup cos we live in IOWA and everyone knows what IOWA is known for............

Ours does too!! Well, the ones that let doggies in, will let all kinds of pets in as long as they are leashed!! I'm so glad that lots of places do allow this! VEry cool
