The beautiful cool spell we had last week has sadly left us and we are back in the 90's again so that means very early walkies. We could tell it is going to be a hot one today because of the haze even at 6.00 am but it is the best time to go walkies for us as there is hardly anyone ever there (maybe because MY park doesn't technically open until 7.00 am but it is MY park after all so those rules don't apply to ME).
Since my birthday I have been feeling quite a bit better and Mom thinks the ramp in and out of MY car is really helping a lot and plus my weekly cold laser treatments and the medicines I take. I must admit I was feeling pretty happy this morning or maybe it was just those cookies Mom had in her hand. We love to have breakfast at the park when it is cool and quiet. Mom says the one thing that would make it totally perfect would be if we had Loons (the birds types) living there - she loves their eerie calls. Sadly the only loons we see are those silly jogger types who have their music on so loud we are surprised their heads don't explode. Mom wonders if they realize how much damage they are doing to their ears.
My mom can't take the heat but the humidity is what is the worst.
ReplyDeleteYou look very happy Reilly.
Blessings.
Bentley
aaww - I'm glad you are feeling better my friends. I'm sure the ramp does help. Ya'll take such beautiful pictures - <3 them! XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeleteStay cool you 2. Glad you are getting your walkies, even if you have to get out the door EARLY!
ReplyDeleteWyatt and Stanzie
Breakfast in the park? Lucky dudes. We have keep fitters, cyclists, shrunken people and all sorts invading our park as the weather is good. They should all be banned as it is MY park. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
It has been super humid here lately so I have been walking really early too. It is nice that no one is really out and about so early...and for you that means getting YOUR park all to yourself!
ReplyDeleteOz
We are glad to hear the ramp us helping you out. It's suppose to be super dooper hot here over the weekend
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
Mom says sometimes it would be so nice if everyone would just put away all the TECH stuff when we go on walks also, they miss out on the show that Mother Nature gives us for free.
ReplyDeleteStay Cool.
Stella Rose
Of course you can make the rules for YOUR park! It is hot here too but our humidity is very low. We are glad you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I'm glad you're feeling better Reilly! I love walking in the early, early morning best of all. And I don't know how people run with music in their ears. They're missing out on all the beautiful sounds of nature (and aren't they nervous someone will sneak up behind them).
ReplyDeleteStay cool boys!
your lake looks hazy for sure. glad you is feeling good Reilly. stay cool ...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it is at least cool enough in the morning for you to take a walk! I bet the ramp is really helping you out!!

Daisy
OF COURSE you should be allowed in YOUR park at whatever time of day suits you best. Accompanied by only the right sort of loons.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Oh Reilly, you look VERY happy this morning, I must say!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a little twinkle in your eye!! (or, that could be my margarita haze.....)
I thinks those peeps that run with things in their ears are CRAZY too!
Ma has this phobia that some serial killer is gonna jump out and attack her and she wouldn't be able to her him comin' ~ so no earbuds..ever!!
(personally, I thinks she needs to stop watchin' Discovery ID...)
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We walk early or not at all. Glad you both got out!

You're looking mighty chipper Mr. R! Katie is sleeping on top of the air conditioning vents up here. You know how that is.
ReplyDeleteyour "hots" came our way for one day, wish they would leave
ReplyDeleteOne day, they'll realise their ears don't work....
ReplyDeleteHey, if you want to walk in YOUR park at 5 a.m. Go ahead. Anyway, what Ranger is going to be around then...

I'm so glad that you are feeling better. You two are so gorgeous that I'm surprised the joggers don't trip and fall from looking at y'all. I'm pretty sure that I would!
ReplyDeleteWe've had some real hot days lately too. We much prefer the cool days.
ReplyDeleteWe wish you had loons too, Reilly! Our mom loves their eerie call just as much as your mom does.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Loons are great, but even though they are the state bird here, we rarely see them. I think you have to go up north to find many of them.
ReplyDeleteThe heat is nasty when you want a wlk..so glad you had some cool walkies ..and I agree we will soon have a whole generation of hearing impaired ! great pictures guys looking wonderful :0 hugs Fozziemum xx
ReplyDeleteYou guys are very lucky to have a Mom that gets up so early. Beckett and Keltic aren't so fortunate. I leave for work at 6am so we don't a get an early morning walk and lately due to the heat we wait until after supper then have playtime in the backyard.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a lovely walk, you both look so very happy!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
