Many of you know my Mom has bad tummy troubles and can't eat much - you would think over the years she would have learned to make just what she needs but no - she ALWAYS makes to much and then leaves the rest of it just sitting there - TEMPTING me. Today she made turkey and cheese panini and only ate 1/3 of it - can you believe that !!!! And then to make matters worse she left it just sitting there on the arm of chair while she checked the blogs. It was SOOOOO calling my name - I could hear it whispering to me but darn if I am not good boy and as much as I wanted it and could of just snatched it...I didn't. But I am here to tell you - that grown dogs do cry - when they see such yumminess going in the trash can ! Why Mom - WHY???
It's so unfair!

that's very hard for a dog to resist, huh? If you will find the answer please give ma a sign, I'm sitting in front of an ice ceam bucket what my mom forgot while blogging...
ReplyDeleteOh Reilly! Surely one little itty bitty bite wouldn't hurt? Man that looks really, really yummy.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, no. That is so wrong. Scandalous we say. Call the SPCA right now. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You sure are a very good boy - that wouldn't last long here:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Reilly u should have snatched it and blamed aliens for eating ir.
ReplyDeleteOh you are a very good boy, we probably could not have resisted.
ReplyDeleteOMD! our package arrived today.
YUMMY! What to try first. Mom put the box on the floor before she opened it and oh doggy. Bailey could smell the salmon treats and tried to chase us girls off! Mom will be looking for the perfect picture to put in the beautiful frame!
thank you for letting us celebrate your birthday with you Reilly
hugs

Oh, that must be very painful. But we know what you mean, we were teached to NOT eat it too (but Stanley really pushes the issue and argues that licking is not the same as eating).
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I don't know "why" but I DO know that you were an extra good boy not to grab it!
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't have lasted around here, mate. You have so much patience.
ReplyDeleteReilly, humans can be so cruel...
ReplyDeleteYou are a very good boy to resist temptation!
Love,
Homer
You're such an good doggie, I would have that gone in 30 seconds.
ReplyDeletexo Cinnamon
Crikey .... that wouldn't have lasted five seconds with me around. I was a big star at obedience school. Did everything perfectly EXCEPT .... FOOD REFUSAL!!!!!! No way anyone puts anything in front of my nose and I don't snatch it. I'm not mad!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain Reilly. Mom's been teasing me with yogurt lately, she leaves the empty container on the end table and is surprised to catch me licking it out. Really? Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteOh.My.Dog. WHAT??!! You just left it there...starin' at you...tempting you to take just A LITTLE TASTE??!!
ReplyDeleteWows, you are a bigger man than me Reilly. I would have snatched that thing and woofed it down before Ma knew what happened!! Then I would have acted like a gang of tree rats broke in and took it!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
pees: Ma said it looked DELISH!
On to the trash! We are crying over here

It wouldn't have lasted round here!
ReplyDeleteWhat about all of the children starving around the world and we're not supposed to be wasteful? Make sure you point this out next time, Reilly *wink wink*
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

That is torture! My mom puts stuff away right away because she can't stand all the begging if she leaves food out, not to mention some of my siblings that are constantly plotting to steal said food.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good guy Mr. R.
ReplyDeleteWow!! Your will power is much stronger than Bentley or Pierre's. I'm sure that sandwich would have been gone immediately. Good Karma is rewarding you! You won my giveaway of Natural Balance treats!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...you need a scapegoat. I has the kitties or the boy or Duncan, you need to use Denny! Shhhhh it will be our secret, k?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try that with Blueberry and see if she leaves it alone...after my last dog Shadow, I've gotten pretty good at not leaving food within reach so I'm not really sure what she would do. I can't believe it wasn't eaten! Such restraint. Amazing!
