Last week we joined
My GBGV Life and
Cascadian Nomads in their #DogWalkingWeek celebration. The idea was to think of ways to get out EVERY day for a walk and an adventure. Now admittedly we are very lucky because Mom takes us out and about just about every day BUT to stop it becoming boring
she we set ourselves a little challenge day. It can be anything from finding some yellow flowers, looking for butterflies, seeing an eagle or even looking for a 'lucky penny' someone has dropped. They are just small challenges but they make each walk interesting and different.
To celebrate the end of the walking week challenge we challenged ourselves to find some some fall colored leaves - pretty easy right - NOT ! Like many places the trees around here are still green and the few that are losing their leaves - they just went straight to brown. We spent two hours wandering around in MY park and found just one lonesome tree that has a "tinge" of pink to it. Not that we cared one bit about what color the leaves were - we just had to best two hours of sniffing any doggie could want :) Thank you to
My GBGV Life and
Cascadian Nomads for hosting such a great week.

Maybe they are over there! |

Will yellow flowers will work Mom? |
|
I'm stumped - where are all the fall leaves |
|
Finally - a hint of pink on 1 whole tree! |
I think the leafs are being very lazy this year and taking their time to fall off !
ReplyDeleteBut, your photos look great as always

We are almost in peak for our leaves here in MA! So beautiful, we hate to see them fall!
ReplyDeleteLOL we got plenty of leaves we can send you from over here. Loving our Fall weather today as it sunny and warm. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We have a little more color here, in New England, but not as much as you would expect...
ReplyDeleteWe guess that the Bright pretty Colors are still hiding under the Summer Green in your area... We are getting lots of colors .. FINALLY..
ReplyDeletePLUS we just found TWO MORE... SMALL Apple Cucumbers... we didn't pick them yet... hoping they will grow BIGGER in a few days...
Your Autumn is looking a bit like ours. We only have the occasional tree change colour. We suppose you'll go back in a few week and it'll be a riot of colour.
ReplyDeleteOur crabapple tree is turning and dropping leaves too.

LOL! Sounds just like our post, the leaf fail that ended up being a boat watching tour instead! Thanks for joining our hops!
ReplyDeleteI bet you will find some soon. The trees still look beautiful and so do both of you.

You should come to our house! The trees are just starting to look GOOD!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I'm sure you'll get some color soon. You just need the cooler temps to hang around a bit, and that will get the color bursting! Love the yellow flowers on the ground.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't make it out and about 7 days, but we did do 5 out of 7! I thought that was pretty good for us.
Our leaves are still green. Of course it wuz 90 today.
ReplyDeleteYep, ain't no fall colors here, every thingie is still green!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
OMD - we just LOVE LOVE LOVE the stump shot - so good!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with the leaves anyway? Ours are all still green too. It really seems late. Mom says we probably won't get much color and they will all just fall and be brown:(
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
