Once upon a mossy knoll

We got up super early again to go and see
the sunrise over the lake this morning but it was just an ordinary one - no pretty colors ....so we decided to go off exploring. The other day while checking on MY fort the Mom noticed a little hidden path heading off into the woods so today we decided to go and follow it. First I told Mom we had to show everyone how big MY Fort Cowspotdog is - we still couldn't get all of it in the photo but you get the idea. Next summer vacation I must remember to lock the gates so the shrunken humans can't use my summer home.

Anyhoo - next we went exploring.  It still amazes the Mom that after nearly 3 years we are still finding new paths in MY park and little hidden spots that are just perfect for taking photos -  much to my disgust I might add ......we are there to sniff not have the flashy beast poked in our faces! What we found was a little creek and this awesome mossy knoll. It was so soft to lay on and Mom says it almost looks like one of those background pictures studios use when they take portraits. It is also about two foot high so was perfect for the Mom photo taking. Here are two pics she took - one close up and one further away.

  3. My human, Hsin-Yi, always has these grand plans to "get up super early" to do things - like take me on dawn walks...yeah right - ha! ha! She is so not a morning person and when she finally does wake up, she just turns over and goes back to sleep! :-) That's good anyway coz I'm not a morning doggie either. Still, the few times we have gone on early morninh walks, it HAS been beautiful!

  13. As we always say, you have such a beautiful place to visit. Have you found any little gnome homes? Someone has been building little gnome homes in the trees along one of the trails here and no one knows who is doing it. We hope we can get Mom to take us there to see them.
