We went to see the doggie orthopedic surgeon today and Mr Reilly will be having surgery tomorrow to remove the tumor from his foot. He is hoping he will be able to get it all without having to remove one of his toes so please keep the big dog in your thoughts. We will have a little break while Mr Reilly recovers - the dogtor thinks it will take about 2 weeks for his foot to heal providing there are no complications.
Sending POTP and oodles of love!
ReplyDeleteLots of prayers that he has successful surgery and recovers soon.
ReplyDeleteOh Reilly I am so very sorry to hear about your surgery. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Speedy and complete recovery.

Oh! Ouch! Good luck with that Reilly! Our Charisma had surgery like that and ended up losing her toe. But she did very well afterwards. Hope things go well for you too!

Hope all goes well!! When my Tucker had some problems with his feet, the orthopedic surgeon said it as difficult to remove a tumor without taking the toe, luckily we didn't have to do surgery.
ReplyDeleteHe and you will be in all our thoughts and prayers. stella rose and momma
ReplyDeleteOMD, what is it with all the ugly foot and leg tumors? First my foot, then Piper's leg, and now Reilly's foot. Definitely lots of POTP and prayers for Mr. Reilly. And for you too. Lexi and Amy (the not-the-schnauzer part of the team).
ReplyDelete:( Please feel better soon, Reilly. You can get through this, I know you can!
ReplyDeleteYour Dachshund pal sending good wishes and prayers,

All paws crossed for Reilly. No one wants to see him have surgery and then have to deal with the healing, but maybe this will make his paw feel so much better. We will be thinking of you and Reilly.

Bonnie had to have a toe amputated. She did fine. I hope Mr Reilly gets through the surgery without having to lose a toe.
ReplyDeleteMy Lochie had the same surgery which went well but then it popped up again between toes under his foot. He had another operation nearly a year ago and all is well so far. The first vet said that he would lose a toe if it came up again but the second vet said that no way was she going to take his toe away and thankfully he is fine with all toes. He is nearly 13 years old.
ReplyDeleteI am sending you lots of AireZen and POTP, Reilly, and my paws are crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥
