Sunday Snippets #2

Snippet 1 - As many of you have seen Denny has been playing with some new toys but what you don't know is that it take Mom days and days  to actually get him to the point to first touch the new toy and then to actually play with it. Dweeb is scared of ANYTHING new so every new toy he plays with  is a fear overcome. Good thing Mom has patience in abundance :)

Snippet 2 - Bertie asked if a 'bouncy' pup could bounce over the fencing at our tree top board walk. It is about four foot tall there is wire mesh on the sides too.... but we are sure a very bouncy dog could hop over it if he wanted too...but if one did - he would go sploosh - because there a lake underneath :) We also forgot to post a pic of the view from MY look out so here it is and here is me too after I climbed all the way to the top - that was a lot of steps!

Snippet 3 - Those fields in the distance - they are actually rice paddies...did you know we live in a BIG rice growing area - well we do and that also means mosquitoes - HUGE nasty big mosquitoes.

Snippet 4 - Bacon and Fozzie are having a "Shopping Around The World" again - so mark your calendars for Wednesday the 28th of May - For details on the shopping list you can go here

Snippet 5- Mom has been busy working on the rug and it is nearly finished - pics soon. We went to an older Walmart in a small town nearby and they had exactly the two color she needed there was just one ball of each left - Mom loves how you always find what you most need just at the right time - the synchronicity of the universe at play :) And YES - the rug is super soft - Mom says it feels like velvet and YES - she is sure there is a good amount of sheltie hair (and probably her own) permanently mixed in with it :) We are pondering over making it a wall hanging but are not sure if the wall could take the weight :)

Snippet 6 - Remember the flower Mom showed you on her Bonsia tree - well she didn't realize they would actually open and this morning it has lots of little white flowers on it. See how tiny they are - that is Mom's little finger next to it. Franky and Earnie mentioned they didn't know Bonsai flowered - well check this out - a Bonsai Wisteria - Mom SOOOOO wants one of these :) Basically any tree can be made into a Bonsais - the other one Mom has seen and fell in love with was a little Bonsai forest of Redwoods !

And a BIG BIG BIG snuggle, wet nose in the face and warm wishes to all the wonderful Mom's out there who love us, take care of us and make us feel special every single day - Happy Mothers Day.

  10. Well, you educated us today. We didn't know that rice was grown in Arkansas ( we did know it grows or grew in the Carolinas) And we didn't know that Bonsai flowered. Though when we think about it, it is just a small plant, so you could bonsai anything.

    Thanks.

    XXXOOO Bella & Roxy

You can keep your big mozzies.
