We have had such a super exciting morning. We got up at 5.30am to go to MY park and watch the sun rise but something even better happened. Mom was sitting on a log right next to the water edge when she saw Mr Beaver - he slapped his tail and went under but Mom watched the trail of bubbles he was leaving and was ready with the camera when he came up again. They are not great pics because it was still not very light but he was so close to us and guess what - he came with friends - we counted four of them!!! We are thinking it is a beaver family. Now of coarse we weren't interested in all in the silly old beaver - Dweeb was sitting by Mom's feet and I was sniffing around and found a big old grasshopper and you know what happened next - I can't believe I ate it - YES I DID - just call me Captain Crunch and Munch! Mom turned around and mumbled "Erk Reilly - you can't be that hungry" I mumbled back with my mouth full of grasshopper bits that I had read grasshoppers are very high in protein. Mom did get some sunrise pics too - she says she loves the way it shine on our furs - what ever Mom! Thanks Murphy and Stanley for another great Fractured Friday Hairy Tales
was it tasty? And can you jump now like a grasshopper too? That would be great, imagine that... we could get the tree-rats with one leap!
ReplyDeleteOMD a crunchy snack indeed. Was it yummy? Lucky mum seeing a beaver.
