We headed out early to MY park again this morning in the hopes of seeing some more deer - we didn't find them but we saw something even more amazing - a pair of Beavers - yes 2 of them - splashing around, chasing fish and having a merry old time. Now of coarse it is not easy to get a pic of them and trust us the Mom tried but the best she could get was of one their heads.
We stopped and chatted to Mr Duckie (he is an elderly gentlemen we see every morning feeding the ducks - he carries a big bag of corn with him and walks around the entire lake to make sure all the duckies get some) and he said the beavers have been in the lake for about a month but you only ever see them VERY early in the morning. Thankfully they haven't attacked any more trees and just seem to be having fun doing what beavers do :)
Crikey ..... how exciting!!! I would love to see a beaver. We don't have them out here. Best set your alarm for tomorrow morning so you can see them again. What a nice man Mr Duckie is, aye??
ReplyDeleteWow we have never seen a beaver in the wild before not even a head. Lovely to see them frolicking about. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Look at them! That is so adorable. I've never seen a beaver up close and personal before. Do they make noise? And what a nice Mr. Duckie for feeding everyone. XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeleteWow, what a super find! Beavers are really cool critters and my peeps say they definitely can make a lot of splashes with that crazy paddle tail. BOL Nice of Mr Duckie to feed the feathered furiends. I bet he was nice to talk with.

Beavers can be a real problem, doing what is natural to beavers. Mr. Duckie seems nice though.
ReplyDeleteA beaver! How cool is that. All we have in our park is goose poop

You did a super job with it and I think we all learned something...like I didn't know about avacados being bad fur us. You will be entered in the Host Appreciation Drawing for a cool prize. Random drawing to be held on Monday, August 18th.

Oh! Beavers! There used to be beavers at the lake in NC we visited, but they put the bitey on too many trees and backed up the waters so they were "gone" when we went last year... :/
ReplyDeleteYikes!!! Beavers??? They are ALOT bigger than squirrels!! BOL!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWOW...two beavers, they gotta be building something somewhere. Sound like Mr Duckie is taking good care of your pals!

So cool you got to see a real beaver! Hope they stay away from your trees! We're depressed, they just cut down 90 trees at our park, Ash bore disease. So sad. Love Dolly
