2 Weeks of Rest and Just 1 day Old

Hello - it is ME - Denny :)  Mom took me to the dogtors yesterday afternoon - because I have been limping a lot this past weekend and having trouble getting up. The nice lady dogtor checked me all over said I was VERY brave and stoic because I didn't whimper or show any sign of pain even though she could tell I was hurting. She says I have some inflammation in my elbow joints in both front legs - the right one is worse. At the moment she is not sure what is causing it - it could be from playing ball too much, jumping at the fence or just walking a lot. I have some medicine to take for the next two weeks to see if it helps and if it doesn't the dogtor will do some x-rays to see if there is some arthritis happening.

She also told Mom I am not allowed to go walkies for the next two weeks and although that doesn't bother me much because I don't really like going walkies....... I also don't like being left at home. Don't you think Mom and Reilly should stay home with me for the next two weeks and NOT go any walkies either?

We also wanted to share a video - look at the baby Canada Geese - just one day old and so cute - but Mom says I can't chase up and down the fence barking at them - so not fair.

  1. Oh poor Denny! Yes, I do think your mom should stay home with you. Let Reilly take the car himself to the beach.

Hope you're feeling better soon Denny. Be nice to the sweet baby geese.

  4. Those little goslings are so cute. We saw two little ducks this morning. Now, Denny, we don't think Reilly and your mum should leave you alone. But Reilly does have his Bark Ranger duties, so you'll just have to suck it up.

  16. OMD! That reminds me of something that happened to me! It was the darkest 90 days of my life! Mom noticed me limping and the dogtur said it was cuz I played ball too much! Especially in the house where I would dig my paws into the carpet with those hard stops. Something about it jamming my front legs and shoulders. So I had to NOT play ball for 90 days! It was awful! It was torture! I sure hope you are feeling better fast!

POTP is in order I feel... sending plenty of it your way Denny - but don't hold it against Mum and Reilly for wanting to go walkies sometimes... you can guard the house from invading geese whilst they are out! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
