Now PLEASE do join in as Zukes is donating $5.00 for every blog hop entry PLUS you have a chance to win to win some yummy Zukes too - what could be better. The Contest and Fundraiser Blog Hop will be open from Tuesday, June 24 through Saturday, June 28 - so you have NO excuses not to join in as the contest is open to USA, Canada and the UK !!!!! But anyone anywhere can still join the blog hop in support of pet cancer!
Now we must admit we have been EXTREMELY lucky for over a life time of having pets, dogs, cats, birds, fish etc - we have only ever had one dog with cancer. He was a beautiful doberman/greyhound mix by name of Tinto that developed bone cancer of the leg. Even though they thought they were able to catch it in time - he did eventually develop a brain cancer too and passed away at the age of 4. Sadly some 30 years ago when this happened there was little if no real treatment for pet cancers.
What these things do more than anything...... is remind us to live life in the moment and enjoy every second for all it is worth as all to easily it can be snatched away from us in a blink. Now Oz wanted us to include some photos of us enjoying life and we couldn't think of anything better then seeing Mr
What a great cause.
ReplyDeleteOMD! Love your photos, guys! Thank you so much for joining in the contest and fundraiser. Your family has been quite lucky to own dogs for so long and only lose one to the Big C. But at age 4?!? That is way to young for a pup to become an angel in heaven. I a so sorry for that.
ReplyDeleteOz
We are so behind with blogging but wanted to say we are SO pawleazed you are home, we really hope they can sort this out for you. Hope it wasn't the rock BOL. :) We will be back to normal next..WoooHooooo. Love and BIG hugs xxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you joined the hop too. It's sad that Tinto was there only for four years. And it's sad that this big C is still strong and destroys lifes. But I'm sure once we will have a cure and then the big c will spread fear and terror no longer.
ReplyDeleteIs there really anything more happy than running in the sunshine with a ball? Well, rolling in mud, but that is apparently frowned upon, so we'll stick with the ball and sunshine. :)
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a wonderful thing for Zukes to do! Oh, and about that lovely tennis ball. It sure looks fun!
