We have been taking Mom for little walks at the park - SHE says we are taking small walks because of MY arthritis but we really KNOW it is because she is just an old slow poke. As with most places we seemed to have got about two week of spring and now we are straight into summer with temps in the 90's and humidity at 70%. We try to walk early in the morning and stay in the most shady parts of the park but that is also where the mosquitosaurus live (giant prehistoric mosquitoes big enough to slurp the blood of a dinosaur in one gulp!)
Well look at you two gorgeous pups enjoying a warm day ..must say the Mosquitosaurus sounds pretty scary!! funny we had a long summer with a brief Autumn and now a stinky cold front :)enjoy that walk and hope your Arfur-eye-tis does no play up too much Hugs Fozziemum xx
ReplyDeleteHi Reilly & Denny
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely place to go for walks :) Beware the Mosquitoes. Milo & Jet
Wow what great pictures and such a pretty place to take them! Good to take walks for your arthritis. We have lots of humidity too...and way too many mosquito bites!
ReplyDeleteOh, that spot under the trees looks like a great place for a short break during a walk! It is getting H-O-T out there...we have been walking super early in the morning and late in the evening to try and avoid the worst of it. Glad you are getting out to your park!

How's Mom feeling? Hopefully the fact she's out and about with you is a sign she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteShe tries using that tall tale with us too. We know this one is tired from working!!

Snorts. Mom says she wishes the Mosquitosaurus would suck fat and not blood. Then *maybe* she would be a size 10 - snorts. Beautiful pics my friend! XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeletewe can tell you are taking good care of momma and she is taking good care of you, did you ever get your card or did our mom really send it to Virginia instead of Arkansas like she thought she did.

Yes, summer is here too. How does the giant mosquitosaurus live in such conditions? Ours are so big and mean I think they could carry off a cow. So, we stays inside mostly now. Even the Bald puppy doesn't go out much. BTW nice boots! Mom needs to get some or some grips for Duncan!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you are getting out to your park, stay cool and watch out for those dog eating mosquitoes!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty & Bilbo
maybe you can wear such a hat like the bee keepers wear? But I'm not sure if you have to smoke such a pipe too :o)but it could look interesting on dogs :o)
ReplyDeleteThat's great and seems mom is feeling better. You guys found a lovely spot to rest n of course to take photos :-) Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteWe try to get all of our walking done before 8 or so. I think we have the same weather as you guys! AND the same mosquitosauruses!!!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
It's been so warm here that in the evenings, I've been tricking Blueberry to go into the sprinkler with treats to get her cooled down a bit before we even head out. It seems to really help. I don't really enjoy wet-dog smell, but in the summer, I'll allow it. :)
ReplyDeleteYea, theres lots of panting going on here, and its only in the seventies.
ReplyDeleteStay cool boys, and keep dodging those bugs.
Oh well done you for taking mom for little walks in the park. Gotta be nicer than staying indoors all the time, despite the heat and/or mosquitosauruses.
ReplyDelete(or should that be mosquitosauri?)
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
glad you are getting out for some walks. Too bad about the giant skeeters though. you two always look so handsome!

Well done, boys. You need to keep your mum up and moving. Sorry your Spring was so short. Stay away from those HUGE mozzies.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Bella Roxy & Dui
We've heard rumors of those giant skeeters! Good thing you are getting your mom walked regularly!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Small walks are good when it's that hot and buggy! Have fun, guys ☺
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

It looks nice in the shade and by the water. I have had to be inside for two days. A black bear swam across the Ohio River and is now in my community, so I have to be careful that I am not his lunch.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
At first I thought you were walking around one of our favorite lakes! We have to walk slow when Katie comes with us because of her arthritis too, but Mom says it can happen to all of us, so we need to be accommodating. Beautiful dogs in a beautiful spot!
ReplyDeleteso glad your Mom is out and walking again! Just got through telling my husband that starting July 1st, I am going to start walking a half hour a day and hope to have Mr.Dakota joining me!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's hot and humid. We agree with you - go early and then right back home to the A/C

I feel your heat and humidity along with ginormous mosquitoes! I've lived in the south my entire life and I swear I'll never get used to those things! Hahaha! *I don't know why you didn't have sound on my YouTube video. It seems to be working. ♥
ReplyDeleteWe only walk in da mornin becuz it are too hot otherwise.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the short walks are for your Mom's benefit too. It's good to start with short walks after being not well. Take care of each other, aye?
ReplyDeleteMosquitoes LOVE our mom butt we meant L.O.V.E. her!! We get pretty vicious mozzies (that's what we call them here)here in summer time too and they drive mom crazy!
ReplyDeleteThose are arooootiful photos of you two. Hope you have a good weekend.
Wally & Sammy
We are lucky we don't get too many mosquitoes. Well, let's take that back. Mosquitoes don't like to bother Mom - they go after Dad something fierce...
