Today we are going to review the Sojos Lamb Recipe - so lets see what what Sojos say about this.

crude protein 22.0% min., crude fat 12.0% min., crude fiber 7% max., moisture 10% max. calorie content (ME calculated, as fed): 3578 kcal/kg, 351 kcal/cup

Taste Test
We TOTALLY loved it and the sample size packets we tried make the perfect amount of dinner for us.

Positives
Waiting for it to reconstitute

We loved that is this a complete and balanced dog food. It is the type of food you can take anywhere - camping, traveling etc and know that you will have a wonderful fresh and nutritious food ready in no time that doesn't require any refrigeration. It is also a lot lighter than kibble and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Negatives
The only negative we found is the wait - when you add the water you need to let is sit for 15 minutes and that was torture - this food smells SO good and ours noses were twitching and we were telling Mom in VERY loud barkings that we didn't want to wait. Patience is NOT our virtue - even if it was so worth the wait.

Rating
No doubt about it - we give them all of 8 paws!

Disclaimer : Sojos sent us sample size portions to try in return for an honest review. We were not paid or compensated for our review in any other way and our opinion is purely our own.

  5. BOL! I am so glad you are enjoying your SOJOS food, pals. I am with you on a lack of patience...I do not possess any...so when I have to wait for my freeze-dried food to rehydrate, it is torture. Just looking at that photo of the bowls is making me drool.

  6. I agree... to wait is the worst. 15 minutes that's like 87 hours. I would bark too. The whole time. Thanks for a great review, I'm drooling on my keyboard now :o)

  12. We can almost smell it! yummmmmmm
Mom soaks my food at every meal and the waiting is hard. She puts a plate on top of my food bowl and shoves it in the cupboard so it doesn't drive me nuts!

    Love ya lots♥

  13. Mom makes our Sojos Complete in a jar and can put it in the fridge for several days. That way every night at supper time we don't have to wait at all!
