Mom said we needed to go and check out the beaver issue at the park and we are happy to report they seemed to have moved on as we didn't see any more damaged trees. If you missed the blog about the beavers you can see it here and see ME on TV !!!! What did make us sad though was to see they chopped down all the trees the beavers have gnawed on. We knew they would of died anyway, but it is still sad to see them go. Here I am checking out what has happened you can just make out all the stumps where the trees use to be. Dweeb of coarse was scared - when isn't he - he was convinced a giant beaver was going to come out the water and start gnawing his legs off - I wonder who put that idea in his head (says Reilly looking all innocent) !!!
Of coarse we had to stop for some photo's. Mom loves this big old tree with it's gnarly roots spreading everywhere. Even though it is warmer then yesterday it felt colder because of the blustery winds....I must say though, I quite enjoy having my furs ruffled :)
Oh no you too have had tree stealers. Looks like Pea-Can Tree Killer is back over the pond LOL. Have a marvellous Monday.ReplyDelete
Best wishes Molly
We agree that it is sad that the trees had to be taken down. BUT we are glad that the beavers have moved on to some other buffet area.ReplyDelete
OUR mom has a thingy about looking at tree roots too. She thinks they are Cool. BUTT she also has a thingy about ROCKS and Falling Waters.
PEEPS are easily amused.
Glad that you got out to have a walk in the wind. We enjoyed it right along with you. VISUALLY that is.
It's always sad to lose trees. But, I guess it was safer to take them down, rather than have them fall.ReplyDelete
I hope the beaver has moved on to a new home.
We're happy the beavers moved on...at least we hope they just moved on. You do need your trees.ReplyDelete
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Hate losing trees. Glad the beavers are gone.ReplyDelete
We are sad about the trees but if it made the Beavers find a new buffet, then that is a good thing! You did good work!ReplyDelete
Glad you guys are getting out to the park so often! You sure look happy next to that big tree beside that beautiful lake!ReplyDelete
Maybe some new trees will get planted.ReplyDelete
We are sorry to hear about your trees, but glad that the beaver problem has gone for now at least! Lee and PhodReplyDelete
Oh - beavers can really take down trees!! We don't have that problem here - (just pesky pigeons knocking on our windows!!!) It's best they are removed if they are gnawed too much - you don't want accidents Reilly!! It's still a lovely place to walk.ReplyDelete
Tail Wuggles, Rubie xxx
I hope the beavers had heartburn after munching on your trees. You live in the most beautiful place!ReplyDelete
Glads those tree eaters have moved to a new early bird buffet! Geesh, those things can eat!ReplyDelete
We all know that they were all scaredy pants that you guys were gonna get em' or something, so they had to move on...good work guys!!
All is good with the world (or at least your park!)
