Where has all the summer gone?

It is getting to be hot and humid again here so off we went for an early morning walk trying to stay in the shady areas as much as we could. Now even though is is still nice and green we saw lots of the trees are already starting to turn red - WTD - surely we not heading for an early fall - we seem to have only just started summer?  (Here in Arkansas we have had the coolest ever recorded July)

Now as if walkies itself isn't treat enough - when we got home Mom has some nice cold Peanut Butter Frosty Paws waiting for us. Trust us - our tongues were hanging out for those - yum!

  1. We've had a wonderfully cool summer here in the Washington, DC area. It is usually a hot and humid mess, but this year has been quite pleasant! We could use a good day of rain to perk up the trees and branches however as it's a tad too dry.

  2. I noticed some leaves changing colors this morning too. I just hope this mild summer doesn't mean we are in for another brutal winter.

Looks like you two know how to stay cool! Frozentreats....yummy!

  20. Sigh. We had to leave for our walk at 0600 today. It was HORRIBLE! It was thick out there already AND it was just way too early as far as I was concerned. (What's that? Oh.) Apparently too early for Mom, too.

  23. Peanut butter frosty paw mmmmm sounds delish. Get this the pawrents had to replace the cooling machine and since have only had to turn it on a couple of times. They could leave it on all the time and I would camp my big Sheltie butt on the cooling vent ... Bol

  25. It's been cool here too. I think the coolest July ever. I didn't really mind, except the tomatoes won't ripen, what few we have, and yes today driving home from work I think I saw some red tinges to the leave! NO WAY! I am not ready to give up summer! Spring was so late and wet and cold and last winter was so terrible...I think we deserve a long hot summer!
