Rugs for Rugs

You might remember a while back Mom finally finished a big latch hook hook rug she been working on for like 87 gazillion years. Well since then she has made five more (they are a lot smaller and don't take as long to make) These are the last 3 she has made and she has sold them and used the money to buy more rugs. Now why would Mom make rugs to sell only to then turn around and then buy more rugs - you are thinking CRAZY right ????

Well the rugs she has bought are big non skid rugs for ME (that is the green thing we are laying on). Mom has been VERY worried about me slipping on our woods floors and hurting myself - which is something I must admit I have been doing a lot of lately because of the arthritis in my back and leggies.  Trust ME - there is nothing more undignified then doing a nose dive on the floor and having all 4 legs splayed out in different directions - not to mention trying to get up from such a position! Thankfully I haven't hurt myself yet but Mom being the worry wart she is - didn't want to take any chances. Of coarse the Dweeb is enjoying them too - he can chase his beloved ball without slipping over (although it was kind of fun watching him looking for all the world like he was sliding into a home plate at a baseball match :) :)

  1. They are wonderful original Reilly&Denny rugs! Great! It's not easy to chase a ball or a treat on a slippery floor, I agree. Butt now that problem is fixed and in a wonderful way! I like the colors, they have something what feels good :o)

  2. Very nice. Has your mom tried acupuncture for your arthritis? My peeps tried it with my angel Max and it worked after three sessions. Of course, then you need to keep going, once every two weeks and then once a month for maintenance.

  3. OUR mom is very jealous of your beautiful rugs and the fact that you can actually use them and no one in your house would mistake them for a pee pad. Jealous.

  8. Oh, I remember having to buy a to of rugs when my Munchkin had arthritis. So hard to see them lose their footing. You have a good mom Reilly, but you know that.

Your rugs are beautiful! Don't know how you do that.

  9. Great of mom to sell rugs to get you some rugs! We have been thinking we might need to put a rug runner through the kitchen for Bailey. He sometimes slips when he is in a hurry and yes we don't want him hurting himself

  10. My human used to do latch rugs with her Grandpa. She said they never had anything as beautiful as your rug to work on! We're sure those lovely rugs will help keep your feet flat on the ground.

  20. Those rugs are much more beautiful that the plain ones we have here. Mom has them everywhere for Phantom who slips a lot a lot a lot. She also has to make sure the furs between his pads is kept well-trimmed because he slides on his furs. They grow back in really fast too.

    Tough getting old, isn't it?

  21. Love the rugs. They are too pretty to put on the ground. They should be displayed. Do u make pillows? We think we have seen a croched pilliow before. Your dog designs would look great on pillows.

  25. The rugs are beautiful I am glad your mom won't have to worry about you slipping Reilly. The only trouble I have with our wood floors is getting my speed up for zoomies. Love Dolly

  26. My mom so loves your rugs. I hope the non slip rugs help you out. It would be terrible if you hurt yourself. Sometimes my sister Katie almost crashes on a walk, her back end just gives out, but so far no injuries. Arthritis stinks!
