Last year in March we got a big a snow storm and guess what - it happened again this March. We were starting to worry we weren't going to get any this winter but it is finally here.
It started yesterday with rain all morning and then 3 inches of sleet during the afternoon and finally it turned to snow and overnight we got 8 inches. We have been having so much fun hopping and bouncing our way around the yard and playing bulldozer in it - that is just the best - you put your head all the way in the snow and start pushing.
For some reason Mom isn't too happy when we come back inside covered in snow and keeps mumbling about wet dogs and wet floors - of coarse being the good boys we are - we wait until she has toweled us dry and then straight away head outside again for some more playing in the snow. :)
Thankfully Mom was able to open our back door just enough for her to squeeze out and clear a path across the deck for us. The snow is very light and fluffy so it was easy to move and sooooo much fun to play in.
8 inches is a lot of snow in one night, wow you could not find us in eight inches of snow...I bet you two are having a grand time.

snow much fun,LOL. is it enough to dry your long fur with a towel or do you need a hair dryer too? I wish i had some more or longer fur, it's sometimes not easy to have ultrashort bristles as short as eyelashes :o)

Oh that snow does look so much fun. And the game of waiting until you're towelled dry then dashing straight out again never fails to entertain!
ReplyDeleteWish we had snow here.

SHE remembers as a kid the worst snowstorm they got was in March. Electricity was off for four days...everyone including the neighbours camped out in the living room and cooked over the fire.
ReplyDeleteLucky boys! March seems a snow month for you guys and 8" of snow definitely sounds good. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteEight inches, you guys did get quite a bit. Luckily in March it won't last too long just long enough for you to have some fun.
ReplyDeleteYou got way more snow than we did! and ours is almost gone already

Wow that is a lot of snow!!! Glad you are enjoying it. We got maybe 2 more inches, but we have over a foot of it still on the ground. We got ice earlier in the week, so the snow is all covered with ice, and at night it looks like wedding cakes shining in the moonlight.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky and fun for you guys!
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy you got some snow and 8 INCHES too. That is more than we have had all winter added together - we are very jealous.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, the warm weather is on its way this weekend.

ReplyDeleteHmmm...my sheltie brother (Jetta) and sister (Tuvia) love the snow too. Is this a sheltie thing? Oh btw, no snow here. Sunny skies and 50 degrees. Come on up :)
ReplyDeleteOh I am SOOOOOOO JEALOUS!!! You knows I haven't played in the snow since I was a wee lass in Wisconsin!! I was only 8 weeks old..that was the last time these paws set foot in the beautiful white fluff!!!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh, it's amazin'!! Do some snufflin' in the snow for me, okay guys?
Kisses,

Glad you are enjoying the snow! Ours is melting I think its okay now for it to go. Something tells me your mom doesn't like it as much as you. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteI have to admit with it being fluffy and seeing ya'lls pictures in the snow, it kind of makes me want to join in with the fun. We only get rain and more rain here at the Hotel Thompson. Snow could be fun - especially with you two! XOXO - Bacon
ReplyDeleteSpring cannot come to soon for us. It has been a long cold snowy winter.
ReplyDeleteSweet William The Scot
Yay! I'm glad you boys finally got your snow! Enjoy! I'm sure it wont be here for long (I hope).
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get ANY! It was all around us, but none here! :( For some reason, Mom would have put a smiley face instead of a frown there. I don't get her sometimes!
