As many of you know Mom loves plants - especially ferns and tropical plants. During summer they grow like crazy out on MY deck and one of the things we love is the tree frogs that make their homes in them. Each winter Mom brings all the plants inside and puts them in the sun room and this year we also bought a little tree frog inside too. Mom has nicknamed him the 'wandering frog' as every day we find him in a different place (there may actually be more than one). Mom has found him hiding in some odd places like - inside a trash can, on the vacuum cleaner, on the side of the computer, inside the watering can and on the computer screen. He is most often found in the morning sitting on the window warming up though (as you can see below). He seems to be finding enough to eat as he is nice and plump and Mom admits to leaving the bugs on the plants so he has something to chomp on.
How sweet and what a softie mum is but our peeps would do exactly the same. Have a super Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We never met a frog before! Mom was saying just today that we needed some plants!

You have a tree frog inside your house???? Your Mom is a lot braver than ours - that would so freak her out. And of course, one or two of us might try to catch him:(
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Ewww...frogs are creepy. Mom taught us to be scared of frogs because she is scared of them, even tiny ones. Silly, yes, but some things we do at our house are silly. Good luck to the little fellow.
ReplyDeleteOMD, you gots a pet FROGGIE??!! Very cool!!!! He sure is a cutie...though, I hears that they don't taste good, so no lickin' or tastin'....just a tip
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Uncle Fergus used to eat green frogs he found in the garden, even though they made him sick... So, yeah, don't eat that fella.
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool you guys. Your very own pet frog (s)!
ReplyDeleteWe got lizards here, but no froggies around.
ReplyDeleteCool tree frog!
ReplyDeleteOur mom so remembers those cute little green froggies when she lived in LA. The babies were so tiny!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you let him live inside!

ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
We love frogs! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteYou're not afraid he'll wander into your bed while you're asleep? But that's pretty cool you have a pet frog.
ReplyDeleteWish you had been here to bring in my plants last Fall. While I was in the hospital my friend left my plants stay outside on the porch and I lost all except my Christmas Cactus which I had gotten in the day before I collapsed. I lost a giant tub of Mother-In-Law Tongue Plants that my grandmother had for years before she died. Made me sad.
ReplyDeleteYou got a nice pet in the frog.
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Does he make any noise? That's kinda cool and a little freaky at the same time. I guess I can't say too much about it though as I sometimes see baby geckos in the house!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can run a Name That Frog contest! ;)
