"S" is for silly

I am not a happy chappy at the moment - for some reason the "S" key on my Yaptop has decided not to work properly.  I can be typing away and look up to check what I have written only to find a whole paragraph of goobly gook because all the words that use them - are missing the "s" letters (Mom chuckles when she reads what I have written as it can make for some interesting and funny words when the "S's" are missing.) Mom has cleaned the keyboard using a soft brush and condensed air..... she even went online and found out how to remove and replace the key so she could check there wasn't anything caught under it - can you believe she implied there was probably dog hair caught under it and that was what was causing the problem. Alas the silly "S" continues to work intermittently and adding to the problem now the letters are stating to disappear from the keys - just like what happened to Ernie and Frankies keypad - our letter "T' is also fading away.

  5. Until mum changed the settings so that she HAD to use a mouse (and not the cursor), I would be typing away and would discover that I was inserting words 2 or 3 lines above where I should be. Fortunately, with using the mouse, that doesn't happen any more!!

  6. I can't begin to tell you how many letters I have that have been wiped away lol. Thankfully I have most of the keyboard memorized from typing class. When some of the little icons wipe away I am screwed.
Hope your "S" gets fixed soon!

  8. Our Dad types so hard with his fingers that he wears off all the keys. You can tell Mom to get a wireless keyboard for under $20. Our Dad has had two in the past year or so. Very easy and solves the problem:)

  10. Hmmm...that's annoying. If your mom's efforts don't work. You might have to plug in an external keyboard.

  16. Snorts. I don't mean to snort my friends. Really I don't. It's just that it's great to know that these things happen to other peeps. Mom's letters on her keyboard have been gone for some time. It's really funny to see someone try to use her keyboard and they can't see the letters. They then give up and ask mommy how she uses it - too funny. In fact, I'll probably post about it later. Ya'll have the bestest weekend! XOXO - Bacon

  17. Hmmm, you must use your "s" and "t" a lot to have them both be wonky. Maybe you should adjust your vocabulary to use words that do not contain those letters. BOL

  18. Many of our letters are fading away too, but that always happens on our keyboards. Sometimes we have sticky keys, but Mom just keeps punching away and moves the laptop around a lot and eventually the problem will disappear. It is frustrating, though.

  19. Puters Puters Puters I am typing a way and look up and for some reason it has just stopped two sentences before. Usually because it is telling me I have a new download for something. I am frustrated with the Windows 10 Free Download. I want to upgrade once all the fleas are worked out like later in the program yet everyday sure as the sun comes up there is my puter saying Download Windows 10 available NOW!
    Thanks for being friend
