Sssshhhh don't tell Weilly

Ssssshhhh don't tell Weilly - but while he was having a bath in his new birthday shampoo (which he just loved ....NOT!) I got to have one his birthday treats and let me tell you - it was delicious! It was a piece of dried bison and I enjoyed it sooooo much.

Like many places we are still sweltering - it has been over a month now that we have had 90+ degrees every day and we can't wait until winter arrives!

Today we off to make tomato chutney with the Mom as our tomatoes just went crazy this year and we have so many Mom has had to be creative finding ways to use them. Last week she made spicy homemade arrabiata pasta sauce with red wine for dad - now he has plenty to last him in the freezer. Mom has even found us a tomato and cheese dog biscuit recipe for us and is going to make us some cookies!!!! We would be happy to share our recipes if anyone wants them.

  4. Oh Denny, chewing on some Bison seems like a good way to spend a hot day away.

Tomato and cheese biscuits! I think the humans might even like those.

  6. Ummm, does it involved baking? We can't bake :(

By the way, happy birthey Weilly!!! I saw your stroll in doggy wonderland. I'm surprised you didn't go bonkers with all those colorful toys.

Denny, make sure you don't get caught, okay?

  9. Hi Denny and Reilly, wow that's hot. My dad was back east for a trip and he said it was very hot. We were thinking that maybe your mom should drive up here to cool down. We're only reaching low to mid-70's and we'd love to make some tomato sauce with your mom's tomatoes. Oh yeah, we have bison rib bones and jerky so come on by for walkies.

  11. Oh, how we are sweltering right along with you. It is truly brutal here today. Mom says there is no way we can possibly get her to agree to let us walk - too dangerous even tonight.

Too bad we don't live closer, Mom would help you eat those tomatoes in no time at all, she loves fresh grown ones. Your recipes sound yummy. Mom busy a pasta dinner with Arrabiata sauce at Trader Joe's that she loves.

    Enjoy.

I hope you get cooler weather soon. No fun to be had when it is exhausting just to look out the window.
