Saturday Stroll - With Bailey

Hello - Bailey here. It is a VERY hot and windy day today and I was a bit worried about Mom's garden so I decided to take a stroll around and see what is happening. Now the cool thing about moving into a new house in winter is that you are never sure what will appear in the garden in spring. Well here is a wonderful surprise - we have gorgeous azalea bushes in our front yard and look how they are flowering !! That big bush in the middle is also an azalea and covered in buds - it appears to be a different color though - so a few more days and it should surprise us all.

I also found this lovely red weeping maple - the leaves are so pretty. Our holly bushes are also in flower but Mom couldn't get near them because of the bees buzzing around. They sure do smell pretty though. On the way back through the garage Mom showed my big brother Reilly's car (Does that mean it is mine too???) and look what was in the window. Mom loves me and my big brother - that is for sure. Dad is also busy in the garage, he bought a 'thing' to aerate
the lawn with - it goes on the back of the Red Beastie so dad just has to drive around and let it do all the work. Mom also found some yellow tomatoes (less acidic then red) at the garden nursery this morning and she will be planting those in her veggie garden. Dad also spotted a Eucalyptus tree and bought it for Mom to remind her of home. I don't understand that - she is home - why would she need reminding of it????

  1. Bailey, those are all such beautiful signs that Spring is finally here. But it feels a bit like summer here with the heat and humidity:( Mom loves azaleas but has not had much luck with them here in OP.

Thanks for the lovely garden tour.

  3. Bailey,
You are a good garden tour guide and you don't trample the flowers like some doggies, BOL!

  4. HI Bailey! I am Branson the Great Dane. It is nice to meet you and Reilly! I like Reilly's sticker on his car. I bet that means it is your car too! I am sure he will share.
    Until we all bark again,

  7. Pretty, pretty plants. I've never had much luck with azaleas. I think I am a tad too far north.

  8. Wow Bailey! Your yard is beautiful! The first spring after we moved into this house I waited in anticipation to see what would come up and there was NOTHING. I mean NOTHING! But now, after lots of years and lots of planting we have lots of stuff. But it's still too early here for most of it to show itself. Enjoy...and sometimes Moms just need a little bit of back home..you know?
