Update on MY bluebirds

We had bad storms and tornado warnings again last night and of coarse first thing I did this morning was go out out and check on MY Bluebirds. They are quite quite happy (even though we had to move their nest box to a new post) and are busy padding their nest some more.

We are supposed to have a nice today but then this evening more severe weather. Luckily storms don't bother me at all - I just keep snoozing right on through them no matter how noisy they get. Mom is not liking them though - she doesn't like feeling of being "on edge" when the tornado warnings come across the weather radio. They don't have tornado's and hurricanes in Australia so this is something my Mom just isn't use to. Have a great day everyone and stay safe where ever you are.

  1. We thought of you last night when we sawa ll that bad weather moving through AGAIN!!! We didn't think we were going to get any here, but we were rudely awakened during the night with some very loud bangs and frightening flashes! And to think that they are saying that the month of May is actually the worst month for these dangerous storms.

    Take care and stay safe.

  2. Tough birds aren't they? We don't have bird houses, but we do have a great nesting site in the trees around us and there are several active populations. We've taken to calling them the bird condos.

I wish you and the birds safe passage during this strange weather pattern.

  3. Those birds are so lovely! We had HORRIBLE storms over here in Malaysia too. The lightning struck right on top of our house & blew out our internet modem. Luckily we have a new modem today. It's been raining over here almost everyday too.

  6. Oh, I wish I had some bluebirds. They are my state bird, but I've NEVER seen one in the wild. So, so pretty!

Hope the bad weather ends soon. Oreo is like you, sleeps right through the storms.
