Tornado Sing-A-Long

Every Thursday at 12.01pm on the dot - I just have to race outside and have my sing-a-long. How kind it is of the city to do this regular tornado siren check just for me. It is so nice to have some background accompaniment so that EVERYONE in the neighborhood can hear my wonderful singing voice (glares at Mom who is laughing in the background) Yes, I admit I haven't quite got the howling down part yet - but I am getting there. A few more weeks of practice and I will sound like a wolf baying at the moon! I will do my ancestors proud ! Denny as you will note was paying careful attention and I am sure I can teach him to sing too.

PS - It's going to be my birthday in 4 days and I will be 4 years old - where has the time gone. Tomorrow I will show you what my Dad got me for my birthday!

  1. Wow your own special barkoake. I am sure Mom just loves it. She knows she won't miss the announcement. Sometimes our parents just don't appreciate our talents.

  3. Reilly you are a super singer. I wish I could sing like that.

I just do a "roooooo" when I want to get the family's attention and the odd solitary "WOOF" when I see something that could be chaseable (if I got the chance)

    Love and licks, Winnie

  5. We think you sound quite good. We will try to harmonize with you next week when the test siren sounds. You are just so beautiful - we can see so much more of your beauty in a video. And little Denny - he is just so tiny. He looks like he isn't quite sure what is going on. Does "IT" join in too?

  6. Beckett and Tucker only sing when they think they're alone. But Tucker did teach Beckett so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to teach Denny.

  10. We have a warning system too that comes from giant speakers all over the neighborhoods and even in town. But they are for Tsunami's instead of Tornado's!They run the annoucement once a month just to make sure it is working. When Japan had their terrible Earthquake we had a real announcement because the Tsunami was heading right our way. That was pretty scary but everything turned out okay.
Keep practicing and I know you will be the hit of the neighborhood!!

  12. EVERY Thursday Reilly! You should be an opera star soon! I had to watch the video with the sound off which pretty much negated the whole thing (Katie is here, so will have to listen to it later when she's outside. Or maybe we'll both go outside so she can howl along with you! Denny is so TINY!. I agree we get to see more of how handsome you are in this video! Very nice!

  13. I just watched it with the sound on, cause Katie's dad isn't home so he won't be annoyed. Surprisingly Katie barked a couple times at the TV, then settled down next to me and watched. Not as bad as I thought she'd be! I think Reilly was just making sure the world knew that the yard was HIS and he was protecting it from whatever monster was out there making that noise!
