A Wild Scary Night

Oh my dog ! We had a wild night with the tornado sirens going off twice during the night and the weather radio constantly alerting. We even had to get in our safe room when one went about a mile or so to the east of us. Sadly 16 people died in Arkansas last night and many more were injured due to the tornado's  - our hearts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones. A little town about 20 miles to the south of us was  just about wiped away....even sadder was that little town was hit by a tornado 3 years and 2 days  ago that did the same thing. Mom says spring time is the most beautiful time of year and yet it also likes to remind us that it can all be taken in away in a moment so we must live and enjoy every day like it is our last.  Now where were we during all this time - snoozing of coarse - apart from when Mom called us into the safe room.  Mom says she is so thankful storms don't bother us and she is constantly amazed that the Dweeb isn't scared of them considering he is scared of just about everything else in the world.

  11. We thought of you immediately this morning when Mom first heard the news on the TV about the deadly devastation in Arkansas. We were so happy to receive that early comment from you so we knew you were all OK. We had a few threats here yesterday too, but luckily nothing bad in our immediate area, just to the south of us. Thank goodness you are all fine.

  16. We are glad you are okay. Yes, tornadoes are scary and we fear for those affected from them. Mom came from a place that had tornadoes but she never had one at her house, just nearby and little damage. We cross our paws for comfort and rebuilding!

  32. Stay safe, the weather folks say you may have more storms today. I grew up in IL and know how scary the sirens are. I'd probably be hiding in the safe room all night! Glad the Cowspotdogs aren't scaredy cats, it saves them a lot of stress. I'm sorry about all the damage and lost lives, tornados in my opinion are worse than hurricanes and even earthquakes (we have experienced both).

  33. We've seen the destruction on our TV and feel so sad for everything in the tornando's path. I hope everyone is getting what they need right now with support, food, shelter, and love.
