Walkies - here we come

I must admit my bark ranger duties have sadly been neglected the last couple of weeks but I do have excellent staff so I know they have been keeping running while I have been looking after Mom. Today Mom went to see and orthopedic surgeon and had a cortisone shot in her knee  so now she should be able to walk a little easier. Mom has been having shots in her knees since her early 20's and they always work well. The big decision now will be which park to visit first - maybe we convince the Mom to visit all of them - we have a lot of catching up to do :)

  22. Ouch, that sounds painful. My gramma has some knee trouble but the shots haven't helped her at all.

  24. We hope you got to see many of your parks Reilly! But probably it's too much to ask your mom to see every one of them in one day!

  26. My mum said that the shots only helped her knees for a while so she had both of them replaced (at one time) back in 1996. Until she started using a wheelchair she used to fall a lot (thanks to her muscle disease, bol) and was damaging the artificial knees, but since she has been in a wheelchair (except when she had her eye injury) her knees have been better -- if she was not in the wheelchair, and kept falling, she probably would have had to have the artificial knees replaced by now -- the normal lifetime for them is 10-15 years!!

  27. That's a lot of shots! Mom's doctor will only give her two in the same spot, but now her knee went out again so she doesn't know what to do. Hope your mom is feeling better! Love Dolly
