The "For Sale" sign went up in our yard on Monday and the papers are all signed for the real estate agent to list our house - suddenly it became so very real - we are moving. Last night we even had our first showing! It is bitter sweet to say the least as this is the first house Mom has ever owned and it is a beautiful house but Mom says she doesn't want to ever own a house again as it is such a lot of work when you want to move. Our other good news is we have a house to rent in Florida - Dad put in application on Monday and we found out today we got approved - it is only about a 12 minute drive from the beach and the 447 acres Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park.
Good luck with the sale. Have a tremendous Thursday.

Wow! That does make it real! We had such a hard time parting with our old house, we decided to rent it out instead.

PeeS You may want to ask Aunty Freya's advice on the etiquette of hole digging on beaches!
Your house does look so beautiful. We hope it sells quickly and that your new place is pawsome!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fabulous home, we hope the sale goes well. We are eggsited about u moving to Florida and making new friends. Every once in a while we get a seagull visit our place in nj and we live pretty far from the ocean. Its always exciting to see one.
ReplyDeleteI agree that hurts to sell a house what became your home with so much memories inside... I hope you will like your new home in Florida too and hey... it's near the beach, how great!!!

ReplyDeleteWe hope you'll have a quick sale. Your Dad did a good job. Had his priorities right!
ReplyDeleteHope that big park has some great trails to wander through. My guys love running on the beach but not the water, hope you find that the beach has some place where dogs are allowed. That's getting harder here in Canada.

The market is good right now, so I bet your place will sell quickly. We like owning our own home so we can do what we want without anyone giving us permission, but owning isn't right for everyone.
ReplyDeleteOh...just think of all the things that you will miss.....good luck, hope it sells fast!

your house IS exquisite and I bet you will have no trouble selling it. I guess renting is good because someone else has to do repairs and such for you, but I just hate living under someone else's rules!! All will be fine!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Your new house sounds great and we can't wait for your adventures to the beach and park. Good luck and hope you get a good sale!
ReplyDeleteWow! This sure is becoming REAL and quick! I hope you can get everything packed up. I can't wait to see your new digs in Florida.
