We are pleased and VERY relieved to say we have arrived in Jacksonville safe and sound. Today was overall a much easier drive - there was LOTS of rest stops (which made us super happy) and lots of beautiful scenery. Thankfully most the BIG cities we passed today we got to go around due to some well designed bypasses. By far the scariest part was when we hit Jacksonville itself and Mom says that if she could of driven with her eyes closed she would of. There is a lot of construction happening in the downtown area and the roads were so confusing even Dad (and the GPS) got lost. He got us back on track quickly but even so - with bumper to bumper traffic it was the scariest part of our entire drive. We pick up the keys to our new house tomorrow and our furniture will be delivered on Monday and we should have the internet connected on Wednesday and then we will be able to share lots of photos. Until then - we miss you all and won't tell you about the beautiful sunshine, warm weather and all the wonderful palm trees :) Dad says tomorrow we are off to see the beach and Mom says she can't wait to see our reaction.
You'll be Florida beach bums in no time.

ReplyDeleteReilly, if you and your mom like other dogs you should visit Dogwood Park in Jacksonville! They have 10 acres of fenced woods with the MOST AMAZING smells! As long as you go on a week day it's rarely too busy, and it's not far from dog friendly beaches.
