Thoughtful Thursday

We are finally getting my back yard landscaped and yesterday we just about barked our barks out telling the guys where things needed to go and what we wanted. They put up our new fence and Mom breathed a sigh of relief as we have scared her 3 times now by escaping into the preserve behind us. (We had a temporary fence up but the Armadillos kept pushing it up giving us an escape route - Mom says they won't be doing that anymore!!!!) Today the grass is coming and Mom ordered a special grass for us - it is a small leaf low growing grass called Zoysia and is a softer grass than the St Augustine that we had before. Mom is hoping it will be easier on our feet. Mom is going to add plants and edging herself - with our help of coarse :) As you can see - we have a long narrow area on the back of our house and this will all be grassed but we will also have a nice big grassy area on the side too.

One thing Mom wasn't happy about was the guys found a ring neck snake (non poisonous)  in my yard yesterday - it was just about frozen as it was only 45 degrees in the morning - it didn't even move when they picked it up and put it out in the preserve. .

oh, anything will be softer than st augustine grass. we used to have that at our old house and we hated it. when we moved, we installed marathon lawn and we are very happy with it.
