Ghostwriter and Dad saw a lot of those turkey vultures when they were in Florida. Pretty soon those birdies will be heading north to visit us.
Ghostwriter remembers when, back in the 1960s, it was a miracle to see any kind of big bird like that because they were all being poisoned with DDT. Now we see hawks and vultures and owls and eagles everywhere! In fact, there's a Cooper's hawk that hunts in our neighborhood all the time now.
