An update

I took Mr Reilly to the vets and the news so far is not good. The lump is not any kind cyst and the biopsy they did showed abnormal and unusual cells that "look" cancerous but until a full biopsy of the entire lump is done, they won't know for sure. Reilly will be going in tomorrow morning at 8.00 a.m. for surgery to have it removed. The good news is that it isn't attached to the bone but it has left quite an indentation in the muscle. The only thing we can do at this point is wait, worry and pray for our beautiful boy - please keep all your paws crossed for him. He means the absolute world to us and we can not bare the thought of loosing him.

  28. Reilly,

We just read about your surgery on Mango's blog and want to send you our love and strong terrier Power of the Paw. I(Jake) had a warty thing on my leg and mom was a mess while it was being removed, so we can imagine how your mom is feeling today. Even if it is a bad lump, once it is removed, the prognosis should be positive. That's what Power of the Paw is all about, right?

And -- you may have seen on our bloggie a few weeks ago (and on the back of our Christmas card) that we have formed a Gang -- the Lambshank Gang -- for pals with shaved paws. You can be a star member while your furs is growing back, OK?

Lots of wirey love and woofs,

    Jake and Just Harry

  30. So sorry that Reilly has to go through this, and of course you too. I will be sending lots of love and healing light your way. I will keep all of you in my prayers and am certainly praying that the surgery goes very well and everything is removed that needs to be. I know how hard it is to deal with when our "babies" are ill. Please know that everyone is concerned. Please keep us informed.
