It was such a beautiful day and Mom said she needed some sunshine and time outdoors so we headed off to one of MY far away parks called Jacksonville State Park to do the Tunstall Riverwalk. This path actually follows where the White River and the Black River meet (and no it doesn't become the Grey River) it just becomes continues on as the White River. Jacksonville is a tiny town of about 300 population and is about 40 minutes from where we live. We were surprised that on such a beautiful day - there was no-one there but us.
We didn't walk the whole length as even though it wasn't really hot is was very humid and Mom was worried about us getting overheated. She also said that even though MY mind willing to keep walking she could see my leggies were hurting and she didn't want ME to overdo it - personally I don't think she wanted to over do it because really - I was feeling just fine. Mom's can be such worry-warts sometimes.
Super duper that you and Mom were able to get out and visit a faraway park. No matter that the walk was short, Gail and I are sure your mom was just being sensible, and we loved seeing the pictures.ReplyDelete
PS from Gail - what would Bertie know about being sensible?
Geez, I wonder where everyone was? Still, its nice to have the whole place to yourself!ReplyDelete
GLad your mom got out for a little while. Hope she's feeling ok.
It's so nice when you can have the whole place to yourselves. Hope your mom is feeling better.ReplyDelete

It looks like a lovely place to walk. So cool that you had it all to yourselves. I like your booties. I am looking into some for Bentley to avoid the hot asphalt.ReplyDelete
We hope NO ONE over did it and EVERY ONE had a wonderful walkie!ReplyDelete

Reilley? is your mom wearing boots like yours?? BOL!!ReplyDelete
Even if you didn't get to over do it (our Lady worries about things like that too), it looks like a wonderful place to walk.ReplyDelete
You had it all to yourself? Wonder where all the other dogs and peeps were. Looks like a great place to explore.ReplyDelete

That sounds like SO much fun! I've been to one of the far away parks here and there's something called the Big Blue River. It's not really that big and it's more the color of muddy water, not blue. We need to talk to whoever names the rivers!ReplyDelete
Looks like a fun outing. It is awful hot around here today, so we haven't been able to do much since this morning. Mom still makes us walk in the heat but shorter walks and she makes sure we don't overheat too. None of us are summer fans, too warm to have fun.ReplyDelete
Yeah, you don't want your Moms overdoin' it so soon, or you guys either, ya know that humidity is a walkie killer! It makes Ma just stop in her tracks! She hates it, she doesn't know how you guys do it!ReplyDelete
You guys watch over your Moms and make sure she is takin' care!
Looks like a fun time!ReplyDelete
Sunshine is good for the heartReplyDelete
