Imposter Alert!

After doing some more zendoggie meditation this morning and using my telepathic powers on full strength - (cause mom was trying not to listen) we finally headed to the park. It was to say the least a glorious day - clear blue skies, sunny and a cool breeze blowing. We decided to head down the other end of the lake today and can you believe Mom wanted us to look at this.  You have got to be dogging right - what dog in their right mind would go flying off the end of this dock thing and get WET (well okay Bert would but we know that boy has a serious water issues) I mean to say - if getting wet wouldn't be bad enough...... being eaten alive by all those carnivorous turtles would!

Oh my dog - MOM!!! I can see the water down there - get me off this thing quick!!! It was such an ordeal I had to lay down and take a long rest in the shade.

We finally headed off back to MY car - and look what I spied - an imposter cowspotdog dog!!!! I flew off after him - barking madly and telling him to get away from MY CAR and you know what the Mom did - SHE TOLD ME OFF!!! She said "Reilly - it's just a puppy and he looks lost - don't be mean to him." Then Mom put us in the car and looked around to see if anyone owned him - he wasn't wearing a collar and there was no people around - sadly we think he may have been dumped in the park. He was a very friendly guy and Mom said he had the softest fur....she gave him a drink of water and was in such a dilemma - she didn't want to leave him there but I wasn't having anything to do with him and was growling and barking non-stop at him. What part of "I DON'T LIKE THAT DOG MOM" are you not understanding? We ended up driving to the park superintendents house and can you believe the dumb mutt followed us! He put him in his yard and said he would call the humane society. Hopefully he had just strayed away from home and the owners will find him - it sure would have helped if he had a collar on.

  6. Must be scary to be lost like that poor little pup. He knew a good dog car when he saw it and waited for you and your Mum to help him! I hope he finds his people! Katie agrees, no sense jumping off a dock, only to get wet...not fun at all she says.

  14. OMD I hate when that happens! Believe it or not people are smarter now when it comes to dumping their unwanted pets. They do this by using places where other dog lovers visit believing that they'll take them home. Thank dog for you at least getting him to a safe place. Love Dolly
