MY Tree Top Park

One of MY favorite parks is the smallest but it is also one of the best because it has a wonderful boardwalk that goes through the tree tops. Now we like to do "the BIG loop' walk - we start off in MY big park and follow the path that leads to MY little park. That is where the Nature Center is located which you can see behind us.  Mom just LOVES being in the tree tops and especially when it is all green and shady. Personally I find it a bit boring as there not many good smells up there but occasionally a we come across a tree rat (squirrel) and get to scare the bee-geebies out of it! They are all like squeaaaakkkk "dudes - what the heck are you doing up here!"

From there we  take a dirt path up to the lookout on top of the hill. Mom calls this out little hidden shady valley or glen. Can you believe this use to be a place where they once dumped trash! Well they covered all the trash up and now it is just beautiful. It has a little creek that runs through it and the birds just sing their hearts out in this area. There are lots of old logs to sit on which Mom loves - but seriously - she didn't think we were going to walk across that single log bridge to get to the other side did she??? The other thing we LOVE LOVE LOVE here.... is that Mom lets us use our "invisible leads" :)

Finally when we get to the top of the hill we reach the lookout and this is a half way point and is actually back in MY big park. You can see for miles and miles from here. We like to sit here and rest for awhile and have some water and cool down. At least I try too - but seriously what is wrong with the velcro Dweeb - here I am all hot and wanting to cool down and he has to sit right next to me with his big hot heavy coat - give the BIG dog some space dude I need some room to pant! From there it is another mile or so back to the car and air conditioning.......oh dog I love MY air conditioned car .....sigh......yes life is good !

  7. Wow, I think a Tree Top Park sounds unbelievably exciting. For sure, if enough doggies were to visit, there would be interesting smells too. Is there any possibility of a bouncy pup bouncing over the fence at the edge of the walk....?
