The Push Me - Pull You

If you are REALLY old like my Mom - you may remember the original Doctor Doolittle movie with Rex Harrison. Mom remembers it because it was the first EVER movie she saw at a movie theater and she was 7 years old (we think she is fibbin cause we are pretty sure they didn't even had movies back then -  and that she spent her childhood watching the dinosaurs wander by !!!)

Anyway - one of the things she loved in the movie was the "Push Me - Pull You" and when she saw these pics of us - it suddenly popped back in from the most ancient part of her memory. Now admittedly we have the same shaggy long fur but I think that is where the resemblance ends. After all -  at one end of this duo is a suave handsome super intelligent  dog and at the other - is well a Dweeb and yes - it is the one with the brown head that is the Dweeb !!!!!!

  1. Hehe no calling names now :-) I don't know if I actually saw the movie or know about the movie but now I am going to check!

  2. Wow the picture of the camel thing is in black and white -- that must have been decades ago.

  3. aaww - such a wonderful and great movie! Not that I would know - snorts - but mom/dad are now reminiscing about when they saw it. Have a fab day my friends!! XOXO - Bacon

  4. Hummmm Brown = Dweeb...
Have you seen my brother ERNIE...?
He has a brown head TOO... and guess what?? I (F.F.) agree with you
    BROWN = Dweeb.

Our mom was already OLD when that movie came out... butt she still like the Push Me-Pull You guy a LOT. It sort of tickles her fancy.

  5. LOL and that was one of our first movies as well. Happy days. Have a tremendous Thursday,
    Best wishes Molly.

  6. Maybe your mom needs eye help. You or Dweeb neither have long necks at all.

  7. Mom says she remembers sooooo she is old.

  8. We didn't get out to many movies, but we did see it on TV and the creature was awesome.

You two are doing a wonderful recreation.

  9. I remember Dr. Dolittle. My mom had a book what she loved (to pieces). There were no pictures in the book and in my mom's imagination the Push me-Pull you" looked totally different than the one in the ole movie. So she complained and my grampy better left the cinema with her. But I bet in her imagination it looked like you :o)

  10. Yes….. you guys do look like push-me pul-me boys. Now ya just need to get a bird.

  11. I see TWO suave handsome super intelligent dogs!!! :)

  12. You DO look like the Push-me, Pull-you! Bwahaahaa! Can your mum talk to the animals. (Ours tries, but something gets lost in translation.)

    XXXOOO Bella & Roxy

Our Daisy Portrait gives us big SMILES several times a day.

  13. I know my peep wishes she could talk to the animals. Sadly, she just speaks people talk. I love the two pictures of you two!

  14. Heehee I can see where she got that from, good one! Love Dolly

  15. Our mom must be as ancient as yours because she remembers the push me-pull you, Reilly and Denny, and you do kinda look like them!

    Love ya lots♥
    Mitch and Molly

  16. Reilly, sometimes we wonder about you! Hey your mom ain't old, our Dad has been accused of inventing dirt before the Dinosaurs

    The Mad Scots

  17. Okays, Ma remembers that movie...really, she's older than dirt too! I swear I saw a pic of her ridin' a dinosaur once!
Anyhu, Ma chuckled when she read this cause she thought of that on one of your other post too!
Oh, and Denny, I don't thinks that brown makes a Dweeb!!!! I'm on your side dude.
    Ruby ♥

  18. I guess I be really old like your Mum, cuz I remember that movie.

  19. Your mom's not old. Your mom is just your mom. Beautiful and happy as ever. We like you guys.

  20. I LOVED Dr. Doolittle! It was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. I remember riding my dinosaur to the drive-in and watching it like the Flintstones! ROFL!!

  21. WOW...our Mama is ALSO ancient...and this is one of her most favorite movies!! We think you look pretty cute as a push me-pull you!!
