Cows Appreciation Day

Today is Cow Appreciation Day and one thing we love is cows :) Many years ago when I was just a wee pup of 12 weeks of age - Mom took me the pet store and a little boy of about 5 tugged at his Mom's hand and pointing at me said "look - it's a "cow spot dog". That is how we came to have our blog name and our nick name. Now Mom has always had a soft spot for cows - her favorites are Jersey cows with their big brown eyes but she also loves the black and white cows too - and loves the California Happy Cows commercials - here is all all 11 of them - enjoy. And for those that don't know - the California Happy cows are all friesian cows :)

    Our grandpa raises these cool cows that we think are from Scotland, they are called Beltie's and look like a long haired oreo cookie.

      I love the Belted Galloway's they also come in red and white but I like the black and white best.

    We love cow day. Also yesterday, if you dressed similar to a cow and went to one of our local restaurants (Chick-Fil-A), you could get free food. It was a riot and lots of fun! XOXO - Bacon

    The Happy Cows for California are the best cows and so are the Chick Fil A cows.

    I wish that we had those commercials. They are fabulous! I couldn't decide which one I liked the best but the first one was classic women! LOL! *I think she's been tipped one time too many! ROFL

    Cool videos. The spotted cows are very nice-looking, but we think you cowspot dogs far surpass them in all ways - thanks for telling us how you got your blog name:) We always wondered about that.

    That's a cute story! I have always loved cows, too. When I was a kid my dad rented a house adjacent to a dairy farm. The cows all passed out house on their way out to pasture. I had names for all of them and they were all so sweet

    My mom loves Holstein and Jersey cows. She actually had two cows on a farm during high school. She thinks cows are just the best.

    I, too, like cows. I love black angus calves. They are so sweet sun bathing. If you walk up very quietly and catch them napping in the sun, you can rub them.
