Mr Reilly Update
Mom picked me up from the vets yesterday afternoon and I was so out of it I didn't recognize her and tried to walk through the glass window instead of the door! Wow - that was some head buzz! The Dogtor found he had a big old lesion on the roof of my mouth (like a big blister) and when he touched it is burst and let all the nasty stuff out. As to what caused it - we are not sure but the x-rays did show I have two more teeth that need to come out - the teeth themselves are okay but the roots have died which leaves a pocket that infections can grow in. Mom says I will have to go back next Friday to have those done. This week though I have to be on antibiotics and dad says he is going to make me some dragon wings and start calling me 'toothless' (Reference to the cartoon "How to train your dragon- for those who haven't heard of toothless the dragon :) Thank you for all the good vibes - we know they helped a lot. This morning I had a big breakfast and am feeling fine and the swelling is starting to go down.

Well, we are so glad your Mom noticed all that swelling and got you to the vet to take care of it. We hope you feel a lot better now. Too bad about having to lose two more toofers, but at least that could mean a visit from the tooth fairy - we hear she can bring lots of good treats to pups.

Oh Reilly, you poor thing. I'm glad you're feeling better today, but sorry to hear you're going to have to go back to the vet.

OMD Reilly ... we are Glad that the thingy Burst and let the nasty out... butt SOOOOOO sorry to hear about the teefs that have to be stolen..
ReplyDeleteOh Reilly, that does sound nasty, but at least they found the cause and it sounds like it should be fixable. Remember, the fewer the teeth, the more excuse for ice cream.

We're glad that the vet found out what was bothering Reilly but we're sorry to learn that he'll need more work done. Do they do (tooth) implants for dogs?

Oh boys!!!! You look SO much better! I bets you're feelin' better too! Too bad abouts those toothers, butts at least they know abouts them before they start hurting! Ma had to have a root canal, and that is no funs, let me tell you! Best to get them out now. Paws crossed Reilly! And I hopes you get lots of delish snacks!

Oh you poor boy. SHE spent THREE hours in the dentist chair the other day--root canal--not fun. We hope you'll be much better and out patrolling your Barks very soon. (We got the Toothless reference.)

That really stinks getting so many teeth taken out. I bet your brother is chomping on stuff in front of you to make you mad. At least it doesn't sound real serious.

Oh buddy...I am a little late to your post since I was away this weekend but I did see this on your facebook so I sent POTP right away. I sure hope you are feeling better on the antibiotics and I am glad the dogtor caught all these dental issues before something worse happened. I have my paws crossed for you to be better soon!
