Zendoggie Meditation - Park - park - park

You know - My Mom loves the park and she has been a bit wary about going there because of all the ticks and reports of Lyme Disease in our area but we noticed yesterday that they have cut all the long grass down along the paths. Mom says she feels safer taking us there again - although she still checks us all over for nasty critters when we get home.

So after getting up this morning I decided to sit next to Mom while she was making 'something' at her crafty table and practice my Zendoggie Meditation. Now all meditation requires a chant word to help the mind relax........ and so I began chanting my chant PARK PARK PARK PARK PARK PARK.

All of a sudden Mom says - okay - let's go to the park boys and just like that - off we went. Yes every doggie telepathic chanting WORKS - just don't let on to the peeps okay.  Oh - on returning home I decided to do a little more Zendoggie Meditation - with a different chant word - COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE and darn if it didn't work AGAIN!

We went off the beaten path a bit today mainly because there was LOTS of shrunken humans at the park and they are so noisy with their screaming and yelling and running around. Personally I think they should be on leashes and not us furbabies!  We decided to head off to one of Mom's favorite spots in the park, it is kind of hidden and no-one but us ever seems to go there. The best part - this little arbor is covered with honeysuckle and mom was in sniffy heaven!

Now I have my boots I am able to walk a bit further then I was  previously doing. Mom has been slowly adding some distance each walk to see how my foot copes and it is doing great. We are still happy to get back to MY car though cause we know there is always a nice bowl of water waiting for us when we do.

  5. Shrunken humans on leashes hahaha! There's a great all natural dog shampoo by Bobbi Panter called Charlie Dog Flea & Tick shampoo. It kills & repells ticks naturally. It works great! Let me know if you are interested in trying it and maybe doing a review! Love Dolly

  11. We totally agree with you about those ankle biters. They should be on a lead.

We try mental telepathy but SHE's too dense. Takes her a long time to get the message.

  14. We don't get to go to the park very often because it would be too hard for Mom to take four of us. She usually takes the little bipeds or shrunken humans as you call them. She does make them behave, no screaming allowed:)

But we try to mind meld Mom by chanting walk, walk, walk, walk. And it usually works. We are going to try the cookie one next.

  16. You are really good at the suggestion stuff Reilly! Katie tries it too but it doesn't work if the human knows about it..so far no go. I've been hearing about ticks up here too, so have started looking on Katie when we get home, but so far nothing on her.

  19. You guys have trained your mom so well! Good job, boys!

It has been either too hot or it rains too much here. Life is so boring as I've to stay at home most of the time.
