Sunday Snippets #1
Snippet 1 - A few people asked if it was okay to send Andrea another card - we know she would love that. She so enjoyed getting them the first time, she loved seeing all us furbabies and reading about us. She wanted us to say a BIG BIG BIG thank you to everyone because they really did make her feel special :) She is home now and starting on her physical therapy.
Snippet 2 - We loved doing the "shopping around the world" with Bacon and Fozzie and they say they will be doing it again soon with some different items. We asked Bacon if he could give everyone a bit more notice as many of you said you would of liked to have joined in if you knew about it.
Snippet 3 - We were reading some more on the Pigmy Shrews and guess what - they have a venomous bite - who knew! It is really only venomous to tiny insects and such but if can make peeps sore if they nip you. Mom knows not to touch any animals in the wild because of rabies which is why she kept us back - and yes Mom is one of those that notices the tiniest things all around her and we must admit we walked right past it and didn't even see it :)
Snippet 4 - Remember Mom got really annoyed about the goldfish in MY lake - well Mom never heard back from the park superintendent or the parks and fisheries people - so she called our local TV news people again and guess what - they did a story on it. Mom didn't want to be interviewed again but they did use the photos she took and they got the information out there about it being illegal to put non native fish in the lake. You can see the story here http://www.kait8.com/story/25415245/goldfish-a-big-concern-for-local-lake Dad says Mom is going to get a reputation as a greenie (we pondered on this as the "greenies" we have seen are for us doggies to munch on for fresh breath and we don't ANY ONE munching on our Mom ! )
Snippet 5 - Mr and Mrs Tuffy Ducks are nesting ! We had trouble finding them yesterday but along one of the little creeks that flows into lake there they were. We are so excited - she has built such a nice big nest. And YES Easy - he does look like he is a poodle duck with his funny top knot. We also love seeing him in the sun and his whole head is a beautiful deep emerald green.
